notes: this is my first time writing for mlbb,,, Marcel has me absolutely hooked dear lord. Do note this was written before his official release, I'm just going based on the teasers and delusion (yum) Also!! It was originally supposed to be how he acts when he has a crush on you -> how he acts at the start of the rs -> how he acts when he's fully settled in but it ended up being too long... so I'm splitting it into 3 parts m so sorry ueueue

How does he treat you at the start of the relationship?

Marcel would be a lot more reserved at the start of the relationship, not very openly romantic or dramatically affectionate. There's the usual gentlemanly gestures and polite compliments, but that's more of the manners drilled into him since young.

His affection mainly lies in his actions. Things like getting you that one snack you mentioned a long time ago that you'd like to try, or immediately going to get you an extra layer when he notices you shivering without any prompting.

He's quite protective of you as well, even if he doesn't show it outwardly. It's subtle, like positioning himself against the crowd when walking on the streets, or guiding you away from the judgemental elders in the castle. He knows that as you're dating the aide of Aamon, some... unsavory characters may target you, and he just wants to make sure that nobody he treasures gets hurt.

He likes to snap pictures of things he knows you like and make a dedicated collage for you. He might not even gift it to you, just keep it so he can look through it whenever he misses you or needs to comfort himself.

Honestly, he feels a bit emotionally distant? He avoids talking about his feelings, always managing to shift the conversation to you instead, something he's much more comfortable talking about.

To put things into perspective, he's kind of like a schoolboy that's with his first girlfriend, trying his best to please her but at the same time accidentally brushing aside his feelings and forgetting what an actual partnership is supposed to be like. He can act confident and suave all he likes, but after a few weeks of this it's quite obvious that he's prioritizing you above himself to an almost unhealthy degree.

It's not like he has low self-esteem, he definitely knows his value. But perhaps its because he's so unused to such normal love, something with zero strings attached, that he acts so out of character.

You can't really blame him, he's trying to move past his rough childhood to become a man worthy of your love. This isn't something you can really help him through. Just like how he had to accept that it was his mother's decision to leave the castle and not Melissa's fault, this is something he has to sort out by himself. Simply being there by his side and reassuring that you'll always be there for him is enough.

Clemar on the other hand, would probably be extremely curious about you (and slightly hostile, but when is he not). He'll be intrigued by Marcel finally finding a partner, but also slightly wary that you may hurt both of them. Because of that, he might observe you a little too closely.

This can make him somewhat intrusive during private moments, or a bit condescending and dismissive towards you, as if he's constantly testing whether you're worthy of Marcel's trust. Marcel, of course, isn't too delighted by this. He's trying his hardest to make you feel comfortable, so Clemar's behavior worries him more than anything.

final notes: m sorry if it wasn't fluffy enough,, i meant to make it self-indulgent and such but i suck at that,, i can only hypothesize ideas on how he acts and the problems you two would face ueueueueue,,, i'll do my best to practice hard!!

📸 -> Welcome to the place where I'll be rambling on and on about Marcel Paxley (and Clemar!) from the shit hit game MLBB. I'm no writer, but I might write something for him from time to time — not regularly nor decent as others, but definitely something! Please do not have high expectations, you'll only disappoint yourself!

📸 -> I'll also use this blog to rant and complain about the MLBB matches I play. If you must know, I'm currently at Mythical Honor 43 ★, and I'm pushing to Glory so I can get Marcel's animated profile border and background. Yes, he is my ultimate motivator. Everything I do is for him and with him. It goes without saying that I'm a Marcel main.

Basic Rules

1. Be respectful and think twice before you say/ask something.

2. Requests are open, but keep in mind I write for fun and for me — if you don't like how my writing turned out, keep it to yourself and make yourself clearer if you plan on sending a new request so I don't mess it up the next time.

3. I like to write sweet/silly things. I can write NSFW, but it won't be my priority. I might not be able to write certain experiences accurately, so I'd appreciate it if you included tips/more info about the experience you want me to write.

starting notes: i've been obsessing over marcel so much it's getting kind of ridiculous. forgive me, i know such devotion should be reserved for higher beings, but marcel is just too perfect don't you think?? i'll continue worshipping my salvation, thank you for being born marcel~ ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡

.✦ ݁˖ Marcel honestly didn't know when his curiosity turned into something deeper. At first, that's all it was. Curiosity. Curiosity about the way you seemed to stand out in a crowd, the effortless grace your every movement carried. It was magnetic, and Marcel was determined to snap a few photos of this unique entity he found.

.✦ ݁˖ What Marcel didn't expect was how persistent the thought of you would become. At first, it was harmless. Simple things like wondering if he would see the girl from that day again, or admiring the way light fell onto your eyelashes in the few photos he managed to sneakily take. But slowly, quietly, it managed to bleed into everything else. Subjects he once found fascinating now felt dull and lifeless. Landscapes lacked depth, portraits of others felt hollow and like a cheap imitation of your figure. No matter what he tried, his mind would always wander back to you. Before Marcel even realized it, every idea, every concept, every draft shoot somehow circled back to you from that day.

.✦ ݁˖ Marcel became a man possessed, searching high and low for traces of you. It was hard to start at first, it wasn't as if he could describe such an ethereal being with mere words and expect others below his caliber to understand what he was talking about. But no matter, it would only be a matter of time before fate led the two of you together again, he was sure of it. After all, only such a talented photographer as himself would be able to even come close to capturing what must be an angel on film, no?

.✦ ݁˖ The moment Marcel found you, he did not let go. Not in the way that a wild animal would sink their teeth into the first meal they had in weeks, dear lord no. He was far too composed for something like that. Far too careful. But oh, the feeling was the same, wasn't it? A quiet sort of hunger settling deep in his chest the second he landed his eyes on you again.

.✦ ݁˖ It was almost laughable at how naturally fate placed you back in his life. All that time searching for you, only to discover you at a social gathering for the vassals and allies of the Paxleys!

.✦ ݁˖ Marcel approached you as one would typically approach a noble lady, greeting you as nothing more than an acquaintance. A few minutes of polite conversation, and he would casually slip in an invitation to model for his next exhibition. A perfect setup. Marcel could see the plan unfolding as the words left his mouth. Time spent together under the excuse of photography, hushed conversations under the moonlight, and a growing sense of intimacy between the two of you. And from there... something more official. Perhaps a quiet arrangement between the two houses. A story that could easily be framed as romance if guided correctly. A beautiful bird, coaxed patiently into a gilded cage.

.✦ ݁˖ Except you didn't react the way he planned. Any typical lady would've been flustered, flattered or honored to be approached as a model for The Marcel Paxley. Instead, you looked at him like a stranger. No, something far less significant.

.✦ ݁˖ Your gaze drifted over him with a sort of languid disinterest, as though you were inspecting something mildly unpleasant that had wandered too close. Marcel could feel shivers going down his spine, and for a single, fleeting moment, he had the unnerving impression that you could see straight through the carefully practiced composure he wore. And it bored you. Truly, profoundly bored you.

.✦ ݁˖ Your rejection, when it came, was delivered with perfect noble etiquette. Your posture remained elegant, your voice smooth and courteous as you declined his invitation. And yet, and yet, your eyes never changed.

.✦ ݁˖ Marcel couldn't even begin to formulate a proper response before you slinked away into the crowd of nobles, your figure swallowed by silk and candlelight.

.✦ ݁˖ For a long moment, Marcel simply stood where you left him, the murmur of conversation and clinking glasses fading into something distant and indistinct. How foolish he had been. No, more than foolish. Arrogant.

.✦ ݁˖ Marcel had thought himself clever, approaching you with a carefully rehearsed charm and a proposal that barely scratched the surface of what you were worth. As if you were a subject to be framed, a rare beauty to be captured and displayed beneath the lighting of his exhibition. How wrong he had been. How utterly, embarrassingly, wrong.

.✦ ݁˖ Marcel exhaled quietly, one gloved hand lifting to rest against his lips as a reverent, almost fanatical smile slowly formed. No. If anything, the fault had been entirely his. Because something like you was never meant to be captured. That very idea suddenly felt absurd, almost blasphemous. Something like you could only be worshipped.

Ending notes: Clemar isn't included because i don't like him. Also, i didn't do marcel justice here ueueuueeue my writings has so many limitations,,, the pacing is all wonky but i hope this can help convey my feelings for marcel! also go read "my possession became a ghost story" because that was the main inspo for reader's attitude.

How does he act as your lover?

Spoils you with the wealth of the Paxley family. Listen, Marcel may not be the most fond of the Paxley name, but he'd be damned if he doesn't take advantage of the vast amounts of wealth he has access to. He probably wouldn't flaunt it obnoxiously, but if you paid attention to that nifty little price tag he forgot to take off on one of your gifts...

Attentive as always. To be fair, Marcel has always been attentive the moment he started liking you. He can practically recite small details about you and craft a bible out of it. But I suppose the difference now would be that he's not afraid of showing it. While in the past he may hesitate and try to cover up the fact that he has, and always has been, paying close attention to you, now he's more like: "How do I know that? Don't you remember, darling? You told me you wanted to try this flavor 2 months ago during our weekly outing, when we were stopping by the nice lady selling flowers. Why do I still remember that? Of course I still remember that, why wouldn't I remember anything related to you?"

Marcel gets jealous sometimes. Not jealous in the way that he's insecure about you choosing another man over him, but more so annoyed that anybody would dare to think they had a chance with you when he was there. He doesn't do much to mitigate it, trusting that you're able to handle the situation on your own, but can you really blame him for getting irked when there's a guy that obviously doesn't care about your rejections? And can you really blame him for sliding up next to you and nicely telling the guy to leave you alone?

Loves taking pictures of you. He tends to photograph you in candid moments rather then posed ones, like when you're asleep, or laughing, or doing something you enjoy that makes your eyes sparkle like the sun. Marcel rarely shows you the photos, but he stores them carefully because they all hold precious moments that he doesn't want to forget.

Somewhat of an enabler. Listen, you're Marcel's muse, his greatest inspiration, and that territory naturally comes with a bit of curiosity of your flaws. It's less of him not wanting you to improve and grow as a person, and more of him finding such beauty in your imperfections that he doesn't even think of them as "things that can be worked on". Of course, he makes sure to stop you if things go to far (ie extreme physical or mental harm befalling you), but if not he's rather content to stand on the sidelines of your personal journey.

Really sassy and expects you to keep up with his wit. Marcel's humor is dry, sharp, and usually delivered with a completely straight face. He enjoys tossing out clever remarks just to see if you'll catch them, and it ignites a fire in him when you can quip something back just as fast. Though, he supposes that it's also quite amusing to see you fall for his word traps, the face you make when you realize he's just joking around is one that he can never get enough of.

Surprisingly clingy once you're both alone. Marcel carries himself with so much composure in public that one would usually assume that he prefers his personal space. In reality, the moment you two are somewhere private, that restraint disappears rather quickly. He likes having you close, whether be it an arm around your waist, your head resting against his shoulder, or just having your fingers lightly intertwined with his.

Embarrassingly easy to fluster if you know where to look. While Marcel's posture and face stays neutral most of the time, the one thing he can't seem to control is his ears. Compliment him a little too sincerely, lean in a bit too close, or whisper something teasing into his ear, and the tips starts turning into a very noticeable shade of red. It's kinda funny that he starts covering his ears sometimes.

.✦ ݁˖ Marcel calls you his "muse", though even that term feels insufficient. Far too mortal, far too limiting for someone like you. Everybody and everyone just looks so dull and lifeless in comparison to you... can you really blame him getting obsessed? Besides, it's not as if he's that obvious about it, it might leave a stain on your reputation if somebody notices that another was (for lack of better term) stalking you!

.✦ ݁˖ Marcel still practices photography of course, it's still important to him. However, after your first refusal, he's had to get a bit... creative. Your word is law after all, if you don't want to be a model who is he to refuse your wishes? Ah, but you didn't say that he couldn't photograph spaces you were previously in, or items you'd touch right?

.✦ ݁˖ He does not display these photographs. Others would never see the beauty you had shown Marcel before. No, they would reduce the photos down to things like lighting, composition, technique, strip it of its meaning entirely. That is unacceptable. These sacred photos, they remain private. Carefully stored, meticulously organized, preserved.

.✦ ݁˖ Marcel has long since memorized your habits. Not intentionally of course, it simply... happens. Things like the events you are likely to attend, the routines upon routines upon routines based on differing factors, all this information is gathered so naturally in his head before he even realized. It allows him to be present when needed, always out of sheer "coincidence", always with an excuse of why he was there. Marcel would never impose himself at places he is not welcome. But if circumstances were to place him at your side... well, he'd be a fool not to take advantage of such fortune.

.✦ ݁˖ Marcel finds himself being much more careful with his words around you, picking each expression with deliberate, precise care. It's not done out of fear, but something resembling more like revere. One does not speak carelessly in the presence of an angel, after all. Ah, but is it not worth it? When you finally give him your full, undivided attention because he had finally perfected how to speak around you?

.✦ ݁˖ Others start to become more of an inconvenience to him. Marcel does not act on it, of course. He is not so lacking in composure. But he cannot help the faint dissatisfaction that arises when others take up your time. It's not jealousy, he tells himself. Jealousy would suggest entitlement, as if you were his. No, it's more of... a resentment that others does not see you as they should. As such, he has taken to redirecting your conversations elsewhere. Marcel could never isolate you, what a crude thing it would be to do such, all he wants to do is ensure that your time is spent appropriately. With people who can appreciate it.

.✦ ݁˖ Your proximity is not something he takes for granted. Marcel is not someone who would approach you on his own, how could he ever dare to initiate touch with his beloved muse? That being said, he would be lying if he said he did not savor the way you leaned into him with zero hesitation, the ease in which you reach for him, as if you already saw him as "yours".

ending notes: ngl i have thought about making their dynamic more of like possessive kidnapper who takes care of reader x spoiled reader who believes only marcel can pamper her the way she wants, so its like,, yk that one post about a cat grooming a bunny, and the caption is something like the cat thinks their asserting dominance over the bunny by grooming it, while the bunny thinks their asserting dominance over the cat by making it groom itself? its that sorta thing. marcel believes that reader can't physically survive without him because there's no one that would be as devoted to taking care of her, while reader believes marcel can't emotionally survive without her because nobody could ever love somebody as fucked up as him except for her. but in the end, i decided to stick to a fanatical devotee x ego issues god-like reader~

Where MLBB men like to kiss you! pt.1? Featuring Marcel, Aamon, Gusion

Absolutely NOT beta read I kinda just wanna get this out so my brain can rest and not yell at me 5 times a day going "you said you were gonna write more! what about yandere ex-husband marcel?!? what about university au marcel?! traitor!! public execution for thee!!"

Marcel;

Lips. Despite your lips being his favorite place to kiss, it's rare that Marcel ever does so. He's not exactly shy, but there is a hesitation to him whenever he leans in, as if he's carefully toeing a line he isn't sure he's allowed to cross. Most of the time it's quick and fleeting, barely more than a soft peck, and always in private. Not really the kind of behavior you would've expected from the seemingly suave and charming Paxley. It is wonderfully adorable how you can catch his ears burning faintly afterwards though.

But it's a different story if you were to push him. There's only so much teasing Marcel can take before he snaps, dragging you away to a corner away from the public eye. While his movements may be somewhat hurried, you can rest assured that his touch would always stay soft and adoring.

Aamon;

Collarbones. Similar to Marcel, Aamon rarely indulges in overt affection, but if there's one place he's undeniably drawn to, it's here. There's just something about the exposed line of your collarbones that drives him slightly insane, like a subtle tease, a glimpse of skin that hints at more without fully revealing it.

And perhaps that's why he likes it so much.

You can see it in the way his gaze lingers before he leans in, the deliberate drag of his fingertips along your skin, the way he always lets out a warm breath onto the most sensitive spots there just to watch you shiver, teasing you. Aamon's kisses there are slow, lingering enough to leave heat behind long after he pulls away. Sometimes, almost absentmindedly, he'll stay there for just a bit longer than necessary - not enough to bruise, but enough to leave the faintest of marks for the next few hours.

Gusion;

The corner of your lips. Gusion has never been particularly good or interested in restraint, especially when it comes to you. Affection comes easily to him, somewhat careless in the way only someone naturally confident can be.

He likes staying close, likes the little reactions he can pull from you with barely any effort at all. A quick kiss at the corner of your mouth, another just along your jaw, always accompanied by that smug little look because he knows that he's teasing you that little shit.

Unlike the more composed Aamon and Marcel, Gusion treats this like a game that he fully intends to win. Teasing comes naturally to him, and he enjoys dragging things out just to watch your ever-changing expressions. Still, beneath all that light-hardheartedness, there's something strangely genuine about it too. When Gusion wants someone (you), he loves loudly, and it shows.

Notes: this is gonna be how he acts when he has a crush on you,, originally it was supposed to be part 1 but i wanted to get this started before finally moving onto official lover stages!! I'm also trying out a new writing style that i've seen a few people use when writing hcs because I really wanna try writing more fluffy stuff :3

Here's part 1 (how Marcel treats you at the start of the relationship) for anyone interested (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)

How does he act when he has a crush on you?

Marcel, who pays extra close attention to you, almost to the point that he's hyper-aware of your presence. You can never surprise him because he already registered the sound of your footsteps in his mind, whether consciously or subconsciously.

Marcel, who can't stop thinking about you, to the point that he unconsciously starts snapping photos of things that he associates with you without realizing it. When he finally connects the dots and realizes what he's doing, he huffs and chastises himself for being silly, but he doesn't throw away the film.

Marcel, who doubles down on his confident yet aloof persona around you, acting perfectly polite and in control when internally he's panicking and everything is on fire. You may even think that he dislikes being near you, with how quickly he excuses himself every time you appear. But really, he just needs some space to calm his racing heart.

Marcel, who's almost afraid to touch you, convinced that you have some sort of magic that makes his skin burn whenever you two come into contact. It's weird, he's never had any trouble initiating casual skin ship with other people, so why does even a brush of your fingertips against his leave his ears warm and wanting more?

Marcel, who tells himself that this is all just a passing distraction. Perhaps he's simply intrigued by your unique spirit, wanting to learn more about you to capture it down. Or perhaps he just missed having some companionship with no strings attached. Clemar laughs at him.

Marcel, who spends more time out of the castle than ever before, if only to escape the teasings of Gusion and the knowing looks of Aamon because of course they know why would they not know.

Marcel, who finds himself surrounded by your developed photos in his studio. He didn't notice how many pictures he actually took of you, just remembering the feeling of seeing you and the intense need to capture that moment before it fades away in his memory. He sighs, and Clemar doesn't even bother saying anything anymore, just shooting Marcel vaguely pitying yet amused looks.

End notes: strong believer of Marcel blushing with his ears lord help me. Also, I think this writing style really helps me write more fluffy stuff waaaa i'm so glad it worked :D
