Hello my dearest Orange bedroom besties 🧡 How are you all doing?
Is there anyone left in here? I've come to draw the curtains and open the window, let in some fresh air. I'm sorry I've been sort of absent for so long. I'll be honest with you, it will probably happen again.
A while ago, the lovely and talented @inkypaperghosts very generously offered to illustrate some scenes from Pleased To Meet You for me. They had done such a fantastic job depicting Frankie's complex emotions upon seeing the wiped-out piece of paper Gabrielle kept in her wallet for 15 years, I knew they'd nail the scenes involving Gabrielle, Frankie... and Benny.
And they did!!!
@inkypaperghosts I hope you won't mind me sharing your art here, and in this form (I'll take it down immediately if you do). But I am beyond thrilled to share your talent with everyone. I am insanely grateful to you, and forever in your debt 🧡🧡🧡
So in chronological order (I'm nothing if not an archivist⎯even if it kills me):

The way you suggest her impending panic attack, with her hands pressed on her chest, and the anger in his eyes 🥺
Frankie cooked the food you’re eating right now. You try not to linger on the thought. And he gave you extra cheese, alright, your burger disintegrating in your hands, nearly impossible to handle with the amount he managed to melt on top of the patty. (The Deal)
The look on their faces just about takes me out. This is EXACTLY how I imagined her looking up at Frankie, half pleading half hopeful, and his puppy eyes... The contrast with the previous drawing is incredible!
You see Frankie first, standing in his black boxer briefs, his gun hanging from his hand. Following his angered stare, your eyes fall on Benny (Epilogue: Songbird)
The panic on her face!!! The angered crease of his brow! HIS SHOULDERS!!!!!!!! THE BLACK BRIEFS!!!!!!!!! And poor Benny, so happy to see her 😭😭😭
