Been prototyping a new game project in my off time for the last few weeks, this week was adding a special attack variant and some other game feel effects. Today I'm hoping I can finish the basic HUD implementation and then work on actually adding damage and combat stuff.

There's a few things here that are placeholder (Like this entire enemy routine and groundmarkers)

most of this has been building a node-interface system that enemies can query for information on where to stand for certain functions, that's in a pretty good place as well as some other factories. Once I'm done with the prototype I'm going to take a little time off from dev and then start on producing some other enemies and combat stuff. As well as rework the "Protobat" which will get a new routine and be called the Belfry bat most likely.

Met someone I really vibe with and enjoy talking to which has been awesome. The one thing I've learned with my foray into dating shit again is wow I don't get along with people easily.

I constantly get so puppy dog excited over things I make myself sick. I had fun doing our little game dev session and got excited for the future. However now I can't sleep.

Since a warlock has cursed me with type 2 diabetes I've been trying various sugar free drink alternatives and while most of them are kind of eh compared to the original, I have to say that diet Dr pepper does kind of kick ass.

I would throw full bottles of diet coke and Pepsi at politicians im booing tho. Diet Pepsi might be the worst offender.

Also caffeine free iced black tea. I've been drinking so much of it and always have a cup on my desk. Sucks to have another dietary restriction on top of low purines and no legumes but I'm managing.
