Just so you guys know, we were robbed of an MLP FiM finale movie

Not too much info (at least, that I've found) on what it was supposed to be -- other than that it was supposed to come out in 2020, it was supposed to be akin to a sequel to MLP: the Movie (but not marketed as such because of movie sequels doing less financially than first installments, apparently), it was going to have a theatrical release, and, yeah, it was supposed to be G4's finale. Probably would have been better than just three regular-length episodes... Also, the villain was gonna be the guy shown in all of these character concept arts. As noted, he was gonna have a neon theming. You might notice that in concept art about a neon city (which has to be, like, ruled by him, right?) there are repeated ideas of a dark, abyssal pit -- which are probably references to the "endless pit" of a grootslang -- a mythical creature which it seems he was going to be earlier on in development.

Alright, now let's not argue about the finale we did get (although we certainly can). I think we can all agree that we were probably robbed of something that would have been pretty interesting.

I love how casually and surprisingly progressive the MLP finale is with where everypony ends up.

I drew more My Little Pony. Reimagined the future looks of the Mane Six. Shrank Twilight down a little bit (about Luna size) and she distributed power to her friends so they’re about Cadence sized. I didn’t wanna make them all alicorns but just more powerful versions of themselves to become like Guardians of Equestria.

And I harkened back to some of their Rainbow power traits (when they fought Tyrek). I personally like how they came out. I didn’t wanna change her friends too too much though.

um i didn't think i would cry watching the last episode of mlp but hearing the theme song at the very end of "the magic of friendship grows" struck a chord with me. if i can describe finally accepting the reality of growing up with a smile without saying goodbye to the things that mean so much to you, it's that feeling. thank you for being my childhood show. i will go cry some more now.
