He's a LC of Rarity x Princess Luna because i'm a weird freak like that His birth and life was mostly kept a secret from the general public until he came of age, because his moms didn't want him to have any royal strain on his life and wanted him to have a normal childhood.
MoonBeam's cutie mark represents finding beauty in the unknown, as well as a general interest in the unknown. This includes things like the cosmos, dark / unpracticed magic, etc, which he studies regularly!
