During her travels for the day, Red eventually found herself in an area she had never been to before-- her previous stay in Spirale was short, so despite the fact she had been here before, there was still much the woman was unaware of. It was.. a carnival of sorts, nestled right by the beach of a ward that wasn’t hers. Despite the chilly weather, lights and sounds filtered out of the area; while dozens of people made their way into the attraction site. Though, she seemed disinterested in the fairgrounds before her; instead allowing herself to step further into the boardwalk, until she found something more her taste.
A small stage had been set up, and on it stood a live band; performing a song she had never heard of before. The singer’s loud vocals caught her attention; eyes brightening at the sounds as she found herself a place to stand and watch. The music was wonderful; the rhythm catchy, almost making her want to dance in her place.. but instead, all Red did was hum.
She quickly caught on to the song, following the notes as best as she could without her voice; pulling the Transistor close to her side as she did so. Though she seemed to be enjoying herself, a look of pain suddenly surfaced on Red’s expression; her hums disappearing as the band decided to take a break.
[ .. Red.. ] without even having to ask, the Transistor knew what was wrong, why she felt such pain. [ Let’s just.. let’s go somewhere else. You don’t-- ]
But before they could leave, Red suddenly noticed a young boy watching her; perhaps catching eye of the glowing orb on her wooden blade, and the voice that followed. Surely.. he hadn’t heard her in the sea of music, had he?
[ Oh. Hey, buddy. ] the Transistor greeted the blonde boy, as Red simply tilted her head. [ You alright there? ]
