Bee was apprehensive at first.
A new member had arrived a while ago, young, knowledgeable, curious but shy. It hadn't bothered her much until she got to know what her field of study was.
One of her interests was necromancy, which the pinked haired woman practiced.
She wouldn't even be talking about it to her if it hadn't been for Eris telling Sovana about her power in his scribbled ramblings about herself.
The conversations were interesting, albeit mildly uncomfortable due to the prevailing distrust and hesitation from Bee's side. Sovana's curiosity reminded her of Eris'.
Odd, wasn't it.
It took a while before they started talking more comfortably, with more enthusiasm. Most of it was just Sovana talking about what she had learned about necromancy.
"Could I ask you something?"
"Sure, as long as it's not too touchy"
"What's the greatest feat you've achieved with necromancy?"
She paused.
Her breath hitched for a split second.
The girl blinked, "...was that...touchy..?", she asked sheepishly once she noticed the changes in demeanor. "...Let's change the subject."
It didn't take long til Eris came around, dragging Sovana away with him to enjoy some of the snacks Seril baked. Bee loved that the rascal was having fun, that he was happy.
She was glad he didn't remember.
"You haven't told them", she stiffened suddenly, "It would do you some good to announce your presence", the woman sneered as she turned to the man.
Another member.
Their newest member.
Auleida scoffed, "I would. But you'd ignore me", he huffed.
Auleida....Alvia. The older brother Bee had only one memory of.
The older brother Eris never got to know about. Until now.
His conception in itself was a touchy subject but she remembered how her mother wept the first time she brought him up.
Never again did she ask about it.
Bee rolled her eyes at him, "Just because you're our oldest brother doesn't mean you'll gain my trust right off the bat", she drawled in an annoyed tone.
"You're ignoring my question", she laughed, "Perhaps I am, what's it to you?"
They had been silently butting heads ever since he had entered the mansion. Something about him rubbed her the wrong way, the way he reeked of rotting flesh made her think of him as a living corpse.
But such was not the case. He was asking alive as any of them.
Auleida sighed, "Bee. They'll learn eventually", she stared at him, "He'll learn eventually."
"Learn what exactly?", she retorted.
"That he's not as alive as they think he is"
She didn't need a reminder.
"That you don't know how you got him back"
She didn't ruin them just to let go.
"That you don't even know how long it'll even last—"
"Shut. UP—", she snapped as she yanked him by the scruff of his jacket, he yelped.
"They don't need to know.", Bee growled as she glared daggers into his eyes, "He doesn't need to know". She huffed as anger took hold of her, "And if you even think about telling them, I'll gut you and dump you in the basement that no one seems to know about"
They stood there, air thick with tension as they glared into each other's eyes. Anger & Determination staring into the other's soul.
Auleida stared at her, his hand gripping hers as she tightened her hold on him. He scoffed, "You really think the god that blessed us three wouldn't give us equal strength?", the question made her pause, but her grip remained strong as ever.
"Look, all I want. Is for the truth to be revealed.", he sighed as his tone took a solemn turn, "We really don't know how long that spell will last—", Auleida hummed, "—And we wouldn't want him to be restless in his eventual second passing, right?"
Bee groaned in frustration, pulling him closer, "He's not going to. He won't.", she denied his words.
"You're a necromancer, not a resurrector. You're not life itself either, granting second chances according to your whims and fancies"
"If Casimir wasn't such an ass about in-fighting, I would murder you without hesitation", the older man laughed, "You wouldn't. Not when our brother wants me to stay"
Her eye twitched, "You wouldn't want him upset at the sudden disappearance of his oldest brother, correct?", she was growing furious.
"Shut up. Or I'll. Make you."
"What is happening here."
Both paused, slowly turning to look at the source of the familiar voice, smooth as ever yet dripping with a hint of shock, annoyance and...amazement?
Bee shoved Auleida away, huffing as she looked away. Auleida grumbled, fixing his jacket. Casimir stared at them both, "That was an unexpected scene.", the Master's most trusted hummed in fake intrigue.
Bee narrowed her eyes at him after glaring a few more daggers towards Auleida's direction, "We were having a small...disagreement.", she gritted through her teeth.
"...Yes. Just some differences between us, is all"
"Forgive me for not believing you but what I witnessed appeared to almost be the beginning of a murder attempt...?", Casimir clasped his hands together, his smile strained just a little more as he tried to remain composed.
Bee hummed, "You'd be mistaken then, you know I would never hurt anyone without reason", Auleida glanced at her, "Besides, Eris would be upset if I hurt someone in the mansion"
"As for myself? I'm new here, I obviously won't get along with everyone.", Auleida added his...statement.
The butler glanced between the Eldest Alvias, "Hmph. Fine, I'll let you have the benefit of the doubt", he replied smoothly. He looked mildly ticked off.
Bee always found his annoyance amusing.
The next several minutes were spent in silence, even after Casimir left to attend to other matters.
"Bee...I care for him as much as you.", Auleida started, "I care for you as much as him"
The woman looked at him with contempt, "I may not know why you were never there", the memory still hurt, the blood that was spilt, the loss she had faced
"—but it doesn't change that he lives, because I tried."
"You are no one to us. To me."
"Do not assume us family."
He watched as she stormed off, tension turned to discomfort as Auleida stood there.
"I can find a way to make it permanent.", he mumbled quietly.
"All I need—", His eyes closed as he sighed.
"—is a soul equally loved."
He left those words to air, for none to listen.
She'll figure it out eventually. He reels of death because he too was like his youngest brother.
He too had died once, sacrificed.
He can help his family, finally. But he needs her to co-operate.
He needs Death to co-operate for Life to stay.

Personal Notes:
Been ages since I wrote for the MM!Verse :D
Yeah, Bee & Auleida do NOT have a good relationship lol
Also uh the implications of Auleida's birth are...I'm not sure how to mention it without triggering ppl 🥀
Sovana was nice but I think having her cameo here for a bit was better
I'll make a different fic centring around her
And this is, I think, the most characters I've mentioned in one fic
Also I think this is ALSO my first time not doing the weird '...' time skip thingy :D
Idk why but I put way too much effort in that stupid ass pic lol
I went for a loser sketchier style :>
Also also blood. My first time trying to draw something graphic.
