In honor of a major headcanon of mine that one of the ways Moon Knight/the Lunar System likes to receive affection is by having friends and/or romantic partners tell who is fronting without having to ask, here are a few ways to tell the alters apart:
prefers fighting with his fists
lots of leather or jean jackets are worn
tends to grow facial hair out the longest, the other two tend to shave
prefers to travel by motorcycle over car unless driving his own cab
sucks at cooking and relies on street food & take out
although the system typically wears the blood moon suit, sometimes when he wants to pull a 'scare everyone into behaving' stunt he makes himself by wearing the silver/white suit
skilled at throwing his curved knives as well
loves animals, especially strays that he feeds outside his apartment
listens to a lot of 80s rock, nickleback, shinedown, etc.
although khonshu is proof that gods are real, he doesn't worship gods and does not consider himself religious
speaks english, spanish, sign language (ASL)
won't drink tea, only coffee
speaks arabic, english, spanish, sign language (ASL)
collects guns/knives as a hobby
leaves a little scruff when he shaves/doesn't do a clean shave
taps into khonshu's magic more often than marc & steven
if you played rivals he's annoying and uses the whole glowing magic ankhs a lot as well as summoning magical hands that cause pain by scratching you and putting pressure on you "the moon haunts you" type shit
is the only one with legitmate legal documents (ssn, passport, etc). the others have their own documents but they're forged
listens to a lot of linkin park, MCR, 5 finger death punk, etc.
is okay-ish at cooking, steven is the only one GOOD at cooking
tends to fight without thinking about the hazards, most of the new cuts and bruises come from when he's fronting in a fight
likes to judge the people in reality tv shows in his free time
also watches science and history documentaries for fun
speaks english, sign language (british), arabic
is the only one that does a true clean shave
the only one that consistently wears reading glasses like they're supposed to
is the only one that isn't afraid to cry in front of others
doesn't control the body as moon knight as often, when he does tends to rely on long distant attacks such as knife throws and magic
reads and plays video games as a hobby
wears a lot of sweaters and button down shirts
won't drink coffee, only tea
listens to a lot of "white girl" pop music
also spends a lot of free time studying egyptian history
sort of worships khonshu but also doesn't fully trust him at the same time
NOBODY / NOAH (4TH ALTER)
took on the memories of traumatic childhood experiences such as the system getting SA'd by a babysitter & a near death experience
also took on the memories of the system getting SA'd in college as well
afraid that because they tend to front the most when they feel as though they are going to die or get assaulted and not wanting the rest of the system to potentially experience those memories, they have hidden their existence from the rest of the system
the rest of the system knows there's someone else, but doesn't know their name or details
when they front they tend to mimic the mannerisms of whoever fronted last, giving an uncanny valley feeling bc they can't 100% accurately mimic any of the other alters
extremely brutal fighter that will use whatever is available to fight, even if that means clawing and biting their way to safety/victory
when they front they tend to kill s.exual predators. the sex offender list in new york is very short bc of this
listens to a lot of emo/sad sounding music
the only spirituality he has is "an eye for an eye"... if you are a horrible person horrible things will happen to you in turn
the lonelist and most un-trusting of all the alters
