Naruto Uzumaki
Naruto doesn’t actually clock that you’re shy because of him at first.
He thinks you’re just shy in general, so he tries to “help you break out of your shell” with loud greetings, big smiles, and sudden questions.
When he realizes it’s him making you fidget and look away, he gets this goofy grin and starts dialing it back… but can’t help leaning a little closer when he talks to you, just to see if your cheeks go pink.
Sasuke Uchiha
He notices instantly, but doesn’t say a word. The more you avoid eye contact, the more he wants it.
Sasuke will just quietly appear near you, asking a casual “Hn. You okay?” while holding your gaze until you either mumble a reply or look away.
It’s not teasing exactly, but he does find it… interesting that you get that flustered over him.
Sai
At first, Sai genuinely doesn’t understand why you’re flustered.
He’ll bluntly ask, “Why is your face turning red? Do you have a fever?” or “You’re shaking, are you scared?”
Once someone clues him in, he processes it in his own way. Next time, he deliberately closes the distance and studies your face with a painter’s curiosity.
“Your expression changes when you see me. I like it. I want to draw it again.” You’re left completely unable to form words.
Shikamaru Nara
Shikamaru picks up on it fast. You get stiff, your words get shorter, and you fumble with your hands.
He’s not the type to push, so he plays it cool, leaning back, talking in a lazy drawl so you can breathe.
Still… when he sees you get shy, a tiny smirk tugs at his lips because, troublesome as it is, it’s kinda cute knowing he can make you trip over your words without even trying.
Choji Akimichi
Choji is sweet about it. If you seem nervous, he softens his tone and tries to make things easier for you, offering food as a comfortable buffer.
“Want to share? No pressure,” he says with a warm smile, as if your shy stammer isn’t obvious.
When he catches you looking at him, he doesn’t tease, he just beams back, making you feel a little braver each time.
Kiba Inuzuka
Kiba notices your shyness and mistakes it for fear at first. He gets right up in your space like, “Hey, I don’t bite- well, unless you ask,” with a grin that makes your face go nuclear.
Akamaru catches on faster than Kiba does and will nudge him away when you’re overwhelmed.
Once Kiba realizes it’s a crush thing, he doubles down on the playful teasing, leaning close just to hear your breath hitch.
Shino Aburame
Shino is quietly observant. He notices the stammer in your speech, the way your hands fidget, and the slight shift in your breathing when you’re around him.
He doesn’t call attention to it, preferring to let you get comfortable at your own pace. But he’ll stand a little closer each time, his presence calm and steady, until one day you realize you’re not as nervous, and that his hand is resting lightly on yours.
Neji Hyuga
Neji is perceptive to a fault. He picks up on your nervous body language immediately and, being Neji, assumes it’s because you feel inferior.
He’ll reassure you in that calm, steady way, “You don’t need to be uneasy around me.”
When he eventually understands it’s because you like him, there’s a small, almost imperceptible smile. He’ll still keep his voice low and soothing, but now there’s a subtle warmth that wasn’t there before.
Rock Lee
Lee takes your shyness as a sign of modesty, and it only makes him more passionate in his approach.
He’ll loudly declare, “Fear not, my youthful flower! I will not let nervousness keep you from the springtime of love!” which, of course, makes you even more flustered. But his enthusiasm is so genuine that you can’t help but smile through the embarrassment.
Gaara no Sabaku
Gaara doesn’t entirely understand social nervousness, so your shy reactions confuse him at first.
He’s used to people avoiding him for darker reasons, so when he notices you lingering despite the blush and hesitations, he takes it as a sign of trust.
He won’t push you to talk, he’s fine with silence, but if you do speak, he listens intently, eyes fixed on you in a way that makes your heart pound.
Kankuro no Sabaku
Kankuro catches on instantly and has way too much fun with it.
He’ll lean against a wall, arms crossed, smirking as you trip over your words, “What’s the matter? Cat got your tongue?”
He’s playful about it, but if he ever senses you’re genuinely overwhelmed, he’ll tone it down, slipping into a surprisingly easygoing conversation to help you relax.
Then, the next day, he’s back to smirking just to see you blush again.
