This week, we sat down  -- in a room festooned with hilarious black light posters -- with Mac and Mark of 90s-influenced noisemaking duo Mmars. They're releasing their debut Fuzzstronaut album July 22 at the Good Will, so we talk about the record (which is fantastic, by the way) and a lot more!

Mars is undercover in Johto! Basically just dropped her commander name and is going by Marcia, hoping to ask around and see if there's anyone in particular that could give her information on where to find Giovanni

Pokemon

Purugly was caught and raised on her own. Before joining Team Galactic, she had only one Pokemon, a Glameow. She entered with her Glameow, acquiring the other two along the way.

By the time she was promoted to a commander, Mars's pokemon had evolved into Glameow. By that time she also had stolen a Zubat from a trainer while a grunt and kept it on her team; as of now it is a Golbat and despite her efforts, will not evolve for her--likely due to some residual resentment from being taken from its original trainer.

She has a Bronzong (lol what a funny name) that she caught in Mt. Coronet. Well, "caught"...and "picked up and took" are two different things... It's fairly loyal to her, not as friendly as Purugly but not as...reluctant? as Golbat

early...twenties. No older than 25

Immature and impulsive exterior. hot tempered. has a very direct battling approach, taking a "knock out & wipe out" approach. 

Kinda bossy with her grunts

She joined bc she was very captivated by Cyrus's speeches and his mission. She joined as a starry eyed college freshman, the kind that is easily swept away in a cause (yanno what i'm sayin???)

Mars was determined to find Cyrus after he was taken into the distortion world, but after unsuccessfully scouring Sinnoh, she became discouraged and finally accepted(??) his disappearance. Since then she's been keeping her Pokemon in shape, living alone in a Veilstone apartment. 

"Yeah, I got mixed up in some of that stuff..." she'd say if you asked her about Team Galactic; in all honesty she's the one who'd be apt to join back up

she doesn't like Charon at all wow, she bickers with Jupiter at times and Saturn often has to be the one to tell her to cool it.

Other admins she'd work well with (I'd imagine): Proton, Tabitha?? Maybe??, haha idk
