If I'm fighting depression and have trouble motivating myself to do things, like homework or getting out of bed, would a spirit companion help?
First of all, I cannot recommend enough the power of friends, family, a physician, diet, exercise, and activities to help you out. Having a support group is very important, so make sure that you are taking care of yourself and your personal needs first.
Spirituality can be a great aid to those of us dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, and other difficult ailments and struggles, but I always recommend taking care of the necessities first!
If you have seen your physician and are still struggling a bit, you can definitely get a boost from entity-friends in my experience. They are fun, amazing beings who are a great support system and can help us be more mindful of our moods and what they do. I have noticed that in the past I would slip into a mood or thought-pattern that could lead to a downward spiral, leading to fatigue, upset, so on and so forth. When you communicate with spirit companions, folks that are always with you and are always paying attention, that personal inventory is a lot easier to take and can make a huge different.
No matter what, Anon, I hope you feel better soon and thank you for being a fighter. <3
