If anyone is interested, can anyone in the MMD community port more Poppy Playtime models, stages, props, etc. in MMD?
I know that Rodri-GM18 just put out a stage for Poppy Playtime, but I feel like Poppy Playtime in MMD is such a rare sighting, even if someone ports the models from the games.
I really appreciate your response! I did check to make sure everything was up to date and it all is T.T I'm not getting any error codes, it just crashes as soon as I double click the icon. If u would like to see a video example, I did upload a quick vid showing the issue on my youtube, rice-baller (not plugging my youtube, just desperate to get this fixed) I can't find anything online about mmd just randomly stopping like this before, I've tried everything I know to trouble shoot :/

I never heard MMD just...not working because of MME so I can’t help you. The only thing I can suggest is removing everything (MMD, MME, things that come with both, and stuff related to MMD) and just restarting your computer? I’m not good when it comes to problems of starting MMF and such, so I’m sorry I’m zero help for this!
Maybe someone who follows or see this can suggest or send me something so the user can see. Or you can try searching it up. It seems uncommon but maybe there’s something out there?

Heyo! Sorry I didn’t get to this sooner!
So when motions require certain bones, it means that motion uses those bones a lot and that if the model doesn’t have them, it won’t work right. I’ll explain the ones the motion needed.
-the first on the list was T-pose. Meaning you’re model needs to be in a T-pose. There’s a tutorial out there on how to use the Marine Dreamin, the tutorial tells you how to edit a model into the T-pose with PMX editor. Here’s the link
-the upper body bones confuses me tbh. I’m sure it referring to models that only have one or two, because I’m sure most model types out have three upper body bones but I’m not sure. And they said to move them, which something you do PMX and is not hard to figure out!
-The groove bone is the bone in the middle of the models legs that help the model squat or move up, they move pretty much the entire body but the feet. If the model doesn’t have one, here’s a tutorial!
-Toe bones are bones that move the toes. I’m pretty sure TDA has the bones in them, so most TDA models have. I’m not sure about the other models!
-IKs off is something you do in MMD, but the the first tutorial I shared shows you how to turn the off!

MMD stopped working for me a few weeks ago while I was working on some new videos. I tried reinstalling and the fresh install works just fine but when I tried to add MME however, I encountered the same issue. MMD by itself will open, but If I add the MME files it will crash immediately. I would really appreciate some insight because there is no way I will use MMD without effects lol
Hey, sorry for the late reply, I’ve been a bit sick! I’m glad to help and I know the feeling of needing to use MME lmao
Usually when people have problems with adding MME, it’s because either something is missing or something got replaced when it shouldn’t have. I know LearnMMD (a website that has tutorials on bunch of things for MMD. check them out if you’re confused, having problems, want to know how to do something!) have articles with MME.
The 2 that I know about and experience often is the “side-by-side configuration error” and the “missing DLL error”. These two are the most common problems people get. You know you have them when their messages pop up. Here! is an article that helps you fix MME problems.
If none of these are working, please tell me so! I don’t think I’ve heard of the problem where MMD just...crashes! Unless you are getting messages. Make sure you have the MME that fits your computer (specifically the 64bit and 32bit choices) and your MMD. Also make sure you have everything and where they are suppose to be!

Hey, I'd like to download the Alloy Phos model but I can't quite figure out the password situation. I can't read Japanese so I'm stuck with using Google Translate and I'm a bit new to downloading models so I really have no idea where to look for the proper information, if you had any tips that would be very helpful! I've been looking for a model like this for months now :D
No worries, i got you! Here are some tips:
Bowlroll is a lot more difficult than places Deviantart mainly for the reason that’s it’s a Japanese website and not multilingual. Sometimes you have to be logged in to download things, GitHub is the one i use, mainly because you’re anonymous. So if you don’t want to be known, use that one!
Most of the time, when there’s a password, its usually on NicoNico, the link is usually in the description of the download. If it’s not there, they could put the password on a ReadMe, their twitter, make it where you message the creator, or you just need to look up the name of the download. (an example would be the name of the Phos download is “ 【モデル配布】むむた式合金フォスver.1.6（修正版）” so if there was no link to the password, i would look up “ 【モデル配布】むむた式合金フォスver.1.6（修正版) “)
When you go to Bowlroll, there are tags under the search where you can look up MMD items with ease. Since i’m in no way fluent in Japanese, i use Google Translate as well, but with simple words. I usually copy the description of both the Bowlroll and NicoNico(if there is a NicoNico link). Passwords can be confusing though, since Google Translate isn’t the greatest, words will get mixed in translation sometimes you just can’t download something unless you have someone really fluent in Japanese.
NicoNicoDouga is a good place to look for MMD items as well, since Bowlroll downloads don’t always have preview images! I have a few links saved that are certain things for MMD

Those are the ones, i use the most. It’s helpful for finding the things i want, when I can’t find them elsewhere.
Now to help with password for the model, when you got to the link on “password” and translate the page, the creator is basically telling the password is “the number after SM”. these are the password for a lot of things and what it is, is the number at the end of the link on the page. I know this is long, but i hope it helps other people as well! I’m always open to helping people with things, so feel free to ask me for help!
