*walks out onto a stage and im wearing all black and sniffling and its really obvious that ive been crying*
we r gathered here 2day for a very solemn edition.. of
mchi's mobile game memorial monday.......
in 2022, i began getting ads to pre-register for an upcoming game called..
Space Leaper Cocoon
extremely impressed with the animation, character, and world design, i pre-registered, and the game came out in august of 2022. on june 28th of 2023, the game shut down, then soft relaunched into "Space Leaper: Reboot" not long after, only to once again shut down after less than half a year.
the game had you take the role of Proxy, using the app to communicate with the Leapers, a group of characters who work for the Cocoon all the way in 3230.
i will admit, its obviously been a minute since ive played the game, so im a bit fuzzy on the details, but in 3230, very few humans remain, with many of the characters being alienated versions of earth species.
i fucking adore the character designs in Space Leaper Cocoon. as far as anime gacha games go, theyre very fun and creative, and i still rave about them to this day
each character was voiced, had slightly animated portraits like above, as well as Live 2D models, and detailed CG art that you would unlock upon reaching a high enough relationship with them. here are some of my favorites ^_^
oh, theres no men btw. i forgot to mention that. its like this
yes i made this specifically for this post. anyway
the actual gameplay was mostly auto-battling where your role as the Proxy was to build the best teams to take on each fight, with each character having different abilities
but there were a bunch of smaller gameplay elements which expanded on the character's personalities, a built-in forum where people could talk about the game, and even a couple events during its short lifespan
the art was spectacular, the music was great, and the gameplay was addicting
when the game shut down for good, a lot of the official accounts for the game got deleted as well. there was clearly a lot of time, money, and love put into this project and i miss it every day. supposedly some people on reddit are working to rebuild the game, but. ill believe it when i see it
WELCOME TO MCHI'S MOBILE GAME MONDAY!!!!
no idea how consistent ill be with posting these but ideally im gonna make a stupid post once a week about a mobile game i like. and this week im talking about
LIVLY ISLAND!
livly island is a pet care game where you care for little creatures called livlies! there are a ton that are available, and when you start the game you can choose literally any of them to adopt. from there, you can harvest fruit from your own or other player's trees in order to make potions to get new livlies!
you can actually play a little demo on the official website!
the game has a lot of focus on customization, particularly of your avatar and island. you can also give your livlies accessories, and set different music to play on your island!
of course, this is a mobile game, so you get these items through a gacha system. that being said though, there are a ton of different themes, and each set, including seasonal/holiday sets, are available for around 6 months each, so you have plenty of time to get them
another important feature of the game is feeding your livly! by feeding them different types of bugs, you can slowly change their color! its based on RGB values, and by inputting the current values and the values youre trying to get into this calculator (which is on scratch? which i just think is funny?) you can see exactly which bugs to feed them to get the color you want!
additionally, the game has a built-in forum where you can ask questions about the game, trade items, or literally just talk about whatever
if youre fine with the looming responsibility of needing to care for a little creature forever, i highly recommend this game!
ummm obviously i didnt forget to make a post last week.. why woulld i do that ahaha.. whatever enough about the past because right NOW its
MCHI'S MOBILE GAME MONDAY!!!
i got a new game on like tuesday and its called
Hungry Aliens
..theyre just naming games anything huh.
anyway i downloaded this specifically because i liked the character design (i do this a lot) but the gameplay is fun!
the main gameplay consists of controlling a character on a huge map and taking on a horde of enemies. as you defeat enemies, you collect exp from them, which you can use to level up your attacks
this game is a lot more involved than other games ive talked about, in that its not automated. if you play a level, you are sitting down for 10 minutes and playing the level lol
you can level up your aliens and their gear thru opening loot boxes, because of course you can, but it at least gives you the benefit of where it you level up an alien with gold and then switch to using another, it maintains that level
also i dont usually include videos of the games but i wanna highlight the fact that despite how many things are on screen at once, it actually runs perfectly fine (on my device, at least)
i suppose thats all i really have to say! im not that far into the game, so theres not a whole lot i can talk about xd
uhhhhh
mchi mobile game monday
i forgor 💀
2048

i lost ):
"this guy has to be running out of mobile games by now" WRONG
ITS MCHI'S MOBILE GAME MONDAY!!!
so like, its kinda embarrassing but ive always just liked games about/including cooking. i dunno, i just like food. keep this in mind because this will not be the only food-related game i talk about. but today, im talking about
Dessert Shop ROSE Bakery!
this is a game about making food. thats it. you run a bakery, and you collect ingredients and buy cookbooks to bake and sell different foods. and there are. a lot of foods. currently, the game has 1628 different recipes to learn, and its still getting updates.
the way the recipes are set up is that it describes the ingredients you need rather than explicitly naming them. admittedly, it can be a little hard to remember all the different ingredients, and sometimes the translations make it a bit harder, but its really not that bad. once you learn a recipe, you can automatically make it without needing to manually select the ingredients
ultimately, i just really like the art style and the super wide variety of food you can make. its a cute little game that i definitely think is worth checking out

MCHI'S MOBILE GAME MONDAY!!!
ya sorryi died for a minute im ok now. so anyway this week's game is
HEROLL!
heroll is a dice-based roguelite, where youre a knight defeating various enemies on a square gameboard!
each time around the board is a "floor," with most levels having 15 floors before a boss appears, and you have to face it. during those 15 floors, you roll a pair of dice and move along the board, beating enemies to acquire equipment, playing short minigames for perks, and landing on gimmick spaces that will affect the board itself! every three floors you get access to a shop, where you can spend money youve built up during battles!
after completing a level (winning or losing) youll get coins, which you can spend to draw gear and pets, which give you various perks during gameplay! you can also get relics, which offer different gimmicks (ie, rolling double numbers increases attack speed) and the only way to get those is with relic shards which you can only get thru a fucking plinko lmao?
theres also a global chat, which i opened for the first time and immediately saw NUMEROUS slurs! but you can turn that off, so
my only real complaint about this game is that the shopkeeper (who shows up in other places as well, like in the plinko and blackjack minigame) starts off being an asshole to you, but she has an affection level that goes up the more you log in and she gets nicer &also gets new outfits.this is a complaint because i think it was funny when she hated your guts for no reason and the only way to make her go back to that is to not log in for several days on end
theres also seemingly going to be a dating sim with her??? i dont fucking know
