how many sports r there ??
Hi, I'm kinda new to breeding in the Pokemon games and I was wondering if you could give me some tips, particularly about breeding shines, and any help would be much appreciated!
There aren’t many tips for breeding shinies I can think of, but I’ll give it my best shot!
The best one is always stay patient, your shiny can take 100 eggs or 2000 eggs. Just stay at it! I’ve hatched a shiny on my first egg without trying and it took me 2100 eggs to get a shiny gligar in XY! So don’t give up, that’s the only way to fail at shiny hunting!
Watching other people get the shiny you want or just a shiny in general on YouTube can inspire you to keep going!
Make sure you collect a lot of eggs and store them before hatching them, I feel it’s more time efficient. So collect 30-60 (1-2 boxes) eggs and then hatch them at the center of Luminos! Put a dime under the C-Stick and you won’t have to worry about controlling your character until it’s time to hatch! I generally collect 90-180 eggs (3-6 boxes)
Collecting eggs can be pretty boring! make sure you have a long YouTube video, a series on Netflix, a stream on Twitch, ect. to watch to keep you from getting MMing boredom!
Make sure - as you already probably know - to make sure one of your Pokemon is foreign! It’ll say right next to his name in the description if he is or isn’t!
** You can increase your chances further with the Shiny Charm! It requires you to catch EVERY pokemon from every generation (event only pokemon do not count) Hunts can be shorter but there is still the chance of not getting one till over 2000 eggs. Someone on the serebii forums was hunting for Eevee with the charm and it took almost 3k eggs.

So im using the Masuda Method to try and breed a shiny milotic im up to 510 eggs now and still no shiny. Is there something im doing wrong you think? or maybe i just need to be a little more paitent and keep on going? any tips? Thank you
You need more patience! You haven’t even gotten to the odds yet! Odds are in the upper 600’s ^^ odds are halved from last gen so just keep at it!
I've had shinies on my first egg, and then... over 2,000. It's still completely random. Remember you won't fail until you give up!

Gligar took soooo long.
It was 2,095 for my first one but then a second one popped out around 2,160 i believe! Second place I think is Eevee (~1.5K) Cottonee (1.3K) and another Eevee (1.04k)
