timeline: yosul era ( circa 2016 ), 7th year

choa spent majority of her seventh year haunting yosul's library, going through the aisles and returning misplaced books with a flourish of her wand hand. she takes the stairs down into the bowels of the the library where the study rooms were located. she peers into each one, checking for any stragglers who fell asleep in the drafty rooms ( something choa had been prone to doing when she had been younger, and waking up in the middle of the night with a crick in her neck and gooseflesh ) nearing the last room in the hall, she enters the room and is surprised to find a first year hunched over a yellowing tome; her brows furrowed and lips pursed into a frown. ( how cute... )

having gone unnoticed, choa slips into the room, peering over the girl's shoulder, making her presence known by speaking gently, "it's getting late. you'll break curfew if you stay here longer."

the girl startles, turning a wide-eyed gaze choa's way. taking a breath to calm herself, the first year speaks of her dilema, pleading for choa's assisstance. repeating the riddle under her breath, ruminating over its meaning. it takes little to no time at all for choa to decode it. with eyes glittering with mirth, she answers, "it's a coin. a coin has both a head and tail, but no body—" she smiles, gesturing with a jerk of her head towards the door "—and now that we've got it figured out, let me escort you to your common room. if you're seen with me, you won't be in too much trouble with your head of house."
