Context: Where I live (or at the very least, according to my partner) a "toad in the hole" is where you cut a hole in a piece of bread and fry it with an egg in the middle.

I made him breakfast today and this is what came of it.

What is your favorite breakfast food and why? (Also: solidarity in not wanting to talk to people at a social event.)

My local bagel place makes immaculate breakfast sandwiches with a huge variety of things you can put on. My go-to at the moment is an everything bagel with scrambled egg, pepper Jack cheese, bacon, and avocado. Bagel, lox, and cream cheese with ripe tomato is also a strong contender. Tomato must be ripe though.
