I’m in season 9, also. Didn’t want to watch it because Mulder is gone, decided to give it a try. I’m actually enjoying it. I think the writing is way better than season 8. Plus, I enjoy watching Doggett be the skeptical one and Scully acts a little like Mulder in some instances. “Welcome to the X-Files, it’s bat shit crazy and we rarely explain anything rationally.”
Yeah, I was talking to a guy awhile back who was saying that he stopped watching after season 7 because of Mulder (which is weird because he plays a pretty big role in 8 as well). But I can't help myself from watching every season of a show I love, even if I'm advised against it, lol. I need to know the canon as it is. But I'm glad you're enjoying it! I absolutely love seeing Scully as sort the new "believer" as well. :)
