I got the Core Rulebook for the TTRPG Christmas 2024…it’s definitely a good skeleton but the whole time I’m sitting there going “I know more than you”
Also it detailed like specific sets of zords instead of just generalizing the three most common categories (Dinosaurs, Vehicles, Animals). It also treats white (and to a lesser extent green) as special colors but then has the variant covers with all the rangers of that color and for both of them I’m just like “Two of these rangers on each actually qualify what you’re talking about everyone else is either a core member or an extra member”
The White Ranger thing is especially funny to me because MMPR White IS, canonically, super special - and that's because its source of power, the White Light, is its own separate thing versus other Sixth Rangers just being slightly stronger versions of their teammates. So while trying to treat Green as special because of Tommy is kind of silly treating WHITE as special because of Tommy doesn't work at all because the White Light is canonically leagues above even the Sixth Ranger Whites.
You see this oddness in Darkest Hour, where the specialness of the White Light is actually used well narratively, but we still have Dark Specter constantly saying "White Ranger" when he really should be saying "White Light" to avoid the confusion of him trying to covet White Ranger powers when we see THREE White Rangers in his army - Alyssa in particular gets shown off a bunch (if they were doing something like he was specifically targeting White Rangers in hopes they also had Tommy's level of power, that would work, but it's never brought up)
