Job Description: Part-Time Ecommerce / Studio Assistant The Ecommerce / Studio Assistant’s primary responsibilities include general studio assistance, administrative support for staff, customer service, ecommerce orders, and inventory management. As the Ecommerce / Studio Assistant is an introductory contact for all customers, he/she is expected to have a strong presence and make a positive and significant contribution to the environment as the face of the company. Among several administrative duties, the Ecommerce / Studio Assistant will be responsible for handling customer service correspondence, shipping out retail orders, tracking shipments, managing inventory, and having the ability to jump into various projects that come up.The position allows much room for growth depending on interest and initiative.
Applicants should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. He/she should also work well under pressure, have excellent time management and organizational skills, and be able to cope with multiple tasks at once. Applicant should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to customers, manufacturers, and to the press. Ideal candidates will be detail oriented, and have good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop. Past experience in a similar position and knowledge of modern and contemporary textiles/ fiber arts is a plus, though not required.
