When I think about what I put my family through while I was using I wonder how the hell they stood by me. I've been clean going on 9 years and I still haven't earned their full trust back and I dont know if I ever will. No matter how many years go by theres always going to be that quick thought when I dont answer the phone that says shes getting high, when I take money from the atm their thinking I'm using the money to buy pills. Even though I'm not and I dont have the urge to get high that doesn't matter. They will always have those thoughts no matter how long I've been clean and part of can't blame them. If the tables were turned I wouldn't trust them for a long time either, especially if they did to me what I did to them.
