Today's breezy springlike day is another false flag operation as by Wednesday night we are under a Winter Weather Advisory for a wintry mess including snow, sleet, and glaze ice. SHORT TERM: Today through Tomorrow Afternoon Today's partly sunny skies and mild temperatures will give way to mostly cloudy skies overnight with increasing chances of rain tomorrow afternoon for the metro area and snow in the St. Cloud area. Total accumulations: 1-3" of snow up to 1" of sleet up to 2/10th in of glaze ice MEDIUM TERM: Wednesday night through Saturday If you thought winter was done, guess again. Our mixed precipitation turns to all snow continues right through Thursday night. Friday sees another chance of snow and freezing rain in the morning turning into a rain/snow shower mix through Friday night. Saturday sees continuing snow showers before tapering off going into Saturday night. Total snow accumulations look to be 4-6" in this period LONG TERM: Sunday through Tuesday We return to a more spring like pattern with highs warming from around 40 on Sunday to the mid-upper 40s on Tuesday with mostly sunny skies during the day and partly to mostly cloudy skies during the overnights.
