If Eagan had asked Mo for monogamy on his end, he would have done it no questions asked. Sex with other people is fun, but it's special with Eagan with what he knows about her. He cried the first time they had sex, he's grateful she didn't rip on him over it.

ron and mo rarely get to see each other just because of the sheer trouble of scheduling hang outs. rupturefarms is massive. it cannot be understated. feeco is also connected to so many train lines, and therefore large just on it's own. it's hard to find the time.

they've been friends before they got assigned. a teenaged ron pulled mo aside one day and stripped, pointed at her body and panicked that she didn't know why she looked different, asked if mo had the same thing happen. had lived her whole life up until that point thinking she was a worker, the same as the rest — same male feather colouring, same everything — and had spent even longer watching her body change in silence before she finally told anyone. he was slack-jawed and stunned. no, no, i uh, that hasn't happened to me, ron. sorry. neuron activation or whatever. but still, he keeps it to himself and even though they usually only see each other at run down dives catered towards workers, in the stockyards, when ron's at the railway waiting to go to molluck's estate, or when they can stow away in a bunk in the cover of darkness, they make time. wherever they can.

mo cares for her, but seeing her mental degradation and how she withdraws even moreso than she did before — her excuse just being social ineptitude before then — worries him. he tries to be there, but he just can't be. and still she comes back more and more different. he tries to tell her about a revolution, about an escape. she doesn't hear it. she'll never hear it.

Mo felt his hands shaking at his sides, "Coach you gotta be shitti-kidding me," he quickly corrected at the look that was shot his way.

"Reyes, listen you're the one who had a key to the lock box. Now all the ration cards are missing. What am I supposed to think?"

If anything his coach does look apologetic, but resigned over blaming Mo. It's not the first thing he's been blamed for lately, more than at a loss why his teachers think he's cheating and why there's so many rumors going around about him.

"Coach come on, you know me. I'm not a fuc-freaking thief."

He watches the older man rub at his face, "Listen I backed you up to stay on the team when you said you weren't cheating. Even convinced them to let you do make-up work, but just be honest with me here. Just give me the cards and I'll look the other way on this one, we'll call it a mulligan."

Glaring at his hands he swallows the lump in his throat, "You actually think I did it," he said softly before standing up. Isaak's gonna be pissed but he's done, "Fuck this."

"Reyes, sit down, we can talk this out. Don't make me call your sister."

That makes him freeze, there's no way in hell he's letting Celia deal with this. Bringing his bag around he pulls out the ration cards he's gotten from occasionally working at the diner for her. "Here," he mumbles tossing them on the desk, "That's probably half, I'll get you the other half tomorrow."

How he's going to do that he has no idea, but he'll figure it out, long as it keeps his family from worrying, he'll figure it out. All he knows for sure is he's done with baseball, he's done with this town and it's stupid rumors and bullshit.

TW: Child abandonment

Mo is doing his best to juggle the soccer ball with his knees, occasionally having to jog after it when it rolls away. He’s been practicing with Lui, excited to get to play with the soccer club at school. Though Lui had been a forward and he’s going for goalie, it just seems more fun to him. 

“Guillermo! Hey, mijo,” a deep voice calls out and Mo almost loses the ball completely before they’re scrambling to grab it. 

Glancing over Mo’s brow furrowed before recognition clicked, he can’t remember the last time he saw his dad, but there he is. Grinning like he hasn’t missed the last 5 years worth of visits he’s entitled to. Not that Mo really cares about that, if anything it’s better when he doesn’t show up. His siblings spoil him to make up for it, and with how busy Celia is now with Felipe and the twins off at trade school, he’s grateful for any time he can get with all of them. 

“Uh hey…,” they mumbled fiddling with the ball in their hands, they’ve been too busy looking at their dad they almost missed the little girl with him. 

“What no hug for your old man?” the man questions, raising an amused brow. As much as he doesn’t want to, it’s easier to humor him and give him a half hearted one arm hug.

“So um-” Mo isn’t able to ask a question before his dad is cutting him off. 

“This is Marisol, she’s your little sister. Super excited to meet you, right?” his dad said, nudging the girl towards him.

Now he’s even more confused, staring between her and his dad in stunned silence. For her part she gives him a small wave and soft hi in greeting.

“See, she likes you already. Think you can babysit for me? Let you two bond and all that, sides no one likes being the baby of the family. You get to be the big brother now, works out for all of us,” his dad isn’t even looking at them anymore on his phone already in the middle of making his own plans.

“Babysit? You’re just leaving her with me?” Mo’s half convinced he’s dreaming, there’s no way his dad is this much of an asshole right?

“Course, you’re a teenager, basically a man. You can handle her for a couple hours right…hell maybe a day or two. You know we can do something together when I swing back,” his dad said, waving him off. Turning to look at Marisol he gives her a grin and a wink, “Be good for your big brother ok? Look, he's even got a soccer ball, he can teach you how to be a good goalie like I was back in the day.” 

Before Mo can even argue, he’s back in his car and driving off, his last comment making him glance down at the ball in his hands. Suddenly baseball with Isaak sounds a lot more appealing. Glancing down at Marisol he hesitates before holding his hand out, “Um…I’m Mo…my family calls me Gizmo so you can too if you want.”

“Ok Gizmo,” she seems more at ease giving him a tiny smile. 

Giving her hand a small squeeze he takes her towards the diner, and when she’s not looking tosses the soccer ball in the trash. As much as he doesn’t want to bother her, Celia is the only person he wants to go to about this, besides it’s only supposed to be a couple hours right?

With his family and friends for sure, even if just pressing his shoulder against someone's arm or just full pulling them into his side. With Eagan it's a lil more complicated, sometimes she's up for it and sometimes she's not. Sometimes it changes in the middle of it. It was a learning curve but she's pretty good at letting him know when it's too much.

Sensual, which might be surprising with how much he likes sex. He just likes being close with Eagan, considering it's not always something that's guaranteed they really enjoy every second of it.
