Detroit artist Daniel Wilson is certainly creating some buzz with his unique style of gospel-ish, mo-town channeling, synthy pop music. His latest, Killed Ya, is an excellent example of his out of the box groove, with its dark synths, dramatic beats, and super catchy melody. It almost seems like a four way wild child of Gnarls Barkley, The Black Keys, Michael Jackson, and Grimes, or perhaps Crystal Castles, in terms of production. It's electrifying, if you ask me. Killed Ya is the first taste off Daniel Wilson's The Boy Who Cried Thunder EP, out this September via Zap Records. For something more low key and incredibly beautiful, stream Daniel Wilson's angelic single Will You, below.
