UST vs UP (Final 4 Game 2) in Expired Ektachrome 100 (2002)
I never really expected for something good to come out with an almost two-decade film, but I was surprised to see the results from my very first color slide output wherein I used an expired Ektachrome 100. Colors of course was not as good as the fresh one, but I’m still happy with what I got. The photo collage from the first photo above was the original color after the Dev&Scan from Sunny16. I’m glad that photo can still be salvaged via Lightroom, and it went on the warmer side from the cooler and purplish tint.
Personally, I think color slides are just great..just expensive for Dev&Scan was at around 500 pesos unlike the usual 200 pesos for regular 135 films. Add to that the price of an Ektachrome which is placed at around 900 pesos per roll. It’ll be a long time before I try another roll of this. But I’m pretty sure that I’ll be using fresh ones next time.
The story behind the photoset: I was able to secure tickets for the deciding game between UST and UP in the Final 4 round. Gladly, UST won and went to finals after placing 4th and have to defeat one of the top 2 teams. Here are just highlights taken from where I sat in the Lower Box of MOA Arena.
