Reason why many production shapers still largely prefer polyester resins? Because the time to properly prep #epoxy boards for proper bonds between each coat cuts into production time = greater expense. Being a small custom surfboard company, it's not about profit, and is very much about quality and longevity of my boards. What you see on the rack, #moai_surfboard will last at least 10 times longer than a typical poly board you'll pick up off the rack at your typical surf shop. And definitely longer than your average e-glass epoxy pop-out. All my boards are made with S2-Glass for 25% stronger laminations.
