THE ONE> MARIE ANTOINETTE(2006, Sofía Coppola). Kirsten Dunst portrays Maria Antoinette the beautiful, charming, and naïve Archduchess of Austria who marries the Dauphin of France, the future Louis XVI, to seal an alliance between the two rival countries. As time passes, Marie-Antoinette finds life at the court of Versailles stifling. Her husband's courtiers disdain her as a foreigner and blame her for not producing an heir.The French court is rife with gossip, and Marie-Antoinette consistently ruffles feathers by defying its ritualistic formality. In this intance she becomes the icon we all admire, defying, glamorous, luxurious. Marie exhibits a veil of seeming indifference, and the end, you know it, or you should!
THE UNDERRATED> GRACE OF MONACO (2014, Olivier Dahan). No other than the most fitting actress for the role, Nicole Kidman, embodies Grace Kelly. The movie is focused on former Hollywood star Grace Kelly's crisis of marriage and identity, during a dispute between Monaco's Prince Rainier III and France's Charles de Gaulle in 1962, as well as her considering a return to Hollywood to film Alfred Hitchcock's Marnie.
ANOTHER STRIKE> THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL (2008, Justin Chadwick). Although it's a fictionalized account of the lives of 16th-century aristocrats Mary Boleyn, one-time mistress of King Henry VIII, and her sister, Anne, who became the monarch's ill-fated second wife, though much history is distorted, it’s eyecatching. We love the onscreen drama between Natalie Portman as Anne Boleyn and Scarlett Johansson as Mary Boleyn, caught in a love triangle with Eric Bana as Henry VIII of England.

THE ONE> MARIE ANTOINETTE (2006, Sofía Coppola). Kirsten Dunst interpreta a María Antonieta, la hermosa, encantadora e ingenua archiduquesa de Austria que se casa con el Delfín de Francia, el futuro Luis XVI, para sellar una alianza entre los dos países rivales y convertirse en Reina. A medida que pasa el tiempo, María Antonieta encuentra la vida en la corte de Versalles sofocante. Los cortesanos de su marido la desdeñan como extranjera y la culpan por no haber engendrado un heredero. La corte francesa está plagada de chismes, y Marie Antoinette siempre despeña las plumas al desafiar su formalidad ritual. Nos encanta el drama en pantalla entre Natalie Portman como Ana Bolena y Scarlett Johansson como María Bolena,atrapadas en un triángulo amoroso con Eric Bana como Henry VIII de Inglaterra.

THE ONE> GIRL, INTERRUPTED(1999, James Mangold) is a drama film based on Susanna Kaysen's 1993 memoir about her stay at a mental institution. In the screen we see a 18-year-old Susanna Kaysen who has a nervous breakdown, overdoses, and is checked into a psychiatric hospital, Claymoore. On the ward, she befriends Polly Clark(Elisabeth Moss ), a childlike schizophrenic; Georgina Tuskin, a pathological liar and Susanna’s roommate; and Daisy Randone (Brittany Murphy)), who self-harms and has obsessive–compulsive disorder. She is drawn to sociopath Lisa Rowe (Jolie), who is rebellious but charismatic and encourages Susanna to stop taking her medication and resist therapy, leading her to question her personality.
THE UNDERRATED> PROZAC NATION(2001, Erik Skjoldbjærg). It's American drama film starring Christina Ricci, Jessica Lange, Jason Biggs and Anne Heche. It is based on an autobiography of the same name by Elizabeth Wurtzel, which describes Wurtzel's experiences with atypical depression. Elizabeth is an enthusiastic writer who begins to fit in Harvard and its alumni, by participating in the Harvard Crimson mostly.Lizzie's article for college manages to catch Rolling Stone Magazine's attention in Lizzie's writing, early into the semester, Lizzie soon finds herself unable to write, stuck in a vicious cycle with substance abuse. The title is a reference to Prozac, the brand name of an antidepressant she was prescribed.
THE "Y" GENERATION ONE> PALO ALTO(2014, Gia Coppola) was the promising debut for director Gia Coppola. Palo Alto features solid performances and beautiful cinematography, making up for a rather drifted plot. The motion picture is tasteful in its imagistic flourishes, flirting with the surreal only at timely, pivotal moments in the characters' misadventures.

Life Crisis

Ella se siente atraída por la sociópata Lisa Rowe (Jolie), que es rebelde pero carismática y alienta a Susanna a dejar de tomar sus medicamentos y resistir la terapia, lo que la lleva a cuestionar su personalidad.

El título es una referencia a Prozac, la marca de un antidepresivo que le recetaron.
THE "Y" GENERATION ONE> PALO ALTO (2014, Gia Coppola) fue el gran esperado debut de Gia Coppola. Palo Alto presenta actuaciones sólidas y una hermosa cinematografía, compensando una trama bastante desviada. La película es de buen gusto en su florecimiento imaginario, coqueteando con lo surrealista solo en los momentos oportunos y fundamentales en las desventuras de los personajes.
THE HIDDEN TALENT AT THE MET GALA: William Dill-Russell

Recently featured as the youngest designer part of Met’s newest exhibition,Camp, William Dill-Russell is crafting clothing both theatrical and wearable for all genders. For the designer, putting together a collection is like writing a script. His inspiration comes from the streets, film, vintage soap operas but mainly, from characters, the construction of a complex human being and its way of being. His clothes are hand-crafted by William and produced largely on commission, real couture-level gowns; albeit available to purchase via non-couture means of payment plans."I'm trying to think of new ways to sell my pieces, but it takes time. I don't want to just release just to do so”, he claims.
Above all, the relevance of his work relies in the target costumer.Most of his audience belong to the queer community, it speaks to as many different people as possible, and to all ways of life. Design came to Dill-Russell's world as a form of discovery of his own gender identity.Clothing has a lot to do with talking, we are indeed, what we wear. It's time to embrace it (always has been).

Recientemente introducido al mundo de la moda como el diseñador más joven participante de la exposición más reciente de MET, William Dill-Russell confecciona ropa maximalista, teatral, y para todos los géneros. Para el diseñador, armar una colección es como escribir un guión. Su inspiración proviene de las calles, el cine, las telenovelas, pero sobre todo, de los personajes, la construcción de un ser humano complejo y su forma de ser. Su ropa está hecha a mano por William y se produce en gran parte a comisión,hablamos de prendas de alta costura; asimismo, disponibles para comprar a través de medios de pago no tan "High Fashion"."Estoy tratando de pensar en nuevas formas de vender mis piezas, pero lleva tiempo. No quiero simplemente lanzar algo por el hecho de hacerlo", afirma.
Por sobre todo, la relevancia de su trabajo radica en sus clientes. La mayoría de su público pertenece a la comunidad queer, habla a la mayor cantidad posible de personas y a todas las formas de vida. El diseño llegó al mundo de Dill-Russell como una forma de descubrimiento de su propia identidad de género. La ropa tiene mucho que ver con hablar, de hecho, somos lo que usamos. Es hora de abrazarlo (siempre lo ha sido).

"The Danish Girl" (2015) is a biographical romantic drama film directed by Tom Hooper, based on the 2000 novel of the same name by David Ebershoff, and loosely inspired by the lives of Danish painters Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener. Eddie Redmayne stars as Elbe, one of the first known recipients of sex reassignment surgery. Her Wife, Wagener, interpreted by Alicia Vikander, supports her heartbreaking yet hopeful path towards the pursue of discovering her identity and embodying it.
THAT ONE YOU DIDN'T SEE>
"Girl" (2018) is a Belgian drama film directed by Lukas Dhont. This was written by Dhont and Angelo Tijssens. It is based on the story of Lara, a 15-year-old girl, who was born as a child and dreams of becoming a dancer but will have to face hormonal treatment, fight with her need to look like a girl and certain harassment from her schoolmates.
THE LATEST>
"Jeremiah "Terminator" LeRoy" (2019) , starring Kristen Stewart, Diane Kruger. JT (Stewart) is a literary persona created by writer Laura Albert. JT was presented as the author of three books of fiction, which were purportedly semi-autobiographical accounts by a teenage boy of his experiences of poverty, drug use, and emotional and sexual abuse in his childhood and adolescence from rural West Virginia to California. Albert wrote these works, and communicated with people in the persona of JT via phone and e-mail. Following the release of the first novel Sarah, Albert's sister-in-law Savannah Knoop began to make public appearances as the supposed writer.
