Best seamstress ever! ❤️ #Repost @thefruitpixie with @get_repost ・・・ As I’m organising the finishing touches on another costume for @katesykes before a (hopefully 😰) final fitting tomorrow. I thought I would share a few Non-Lara costumes I have made and/or collated over the years. I included a couple of cheeky childhood photographs of Kate aged 4 and 3 🤭 Some of them can be rather challenging to adapt for a wheelchair user but I have always enjoyed creating them for her even if one or two have been a little frustrating. The Merida gown is the only one I followed a sewing pattern for. There was lots of swearing 🤬 . . . I love sewing even though I’m not the neatest or most experienced. I have to draw only on my high school needlework classes and a 1970s copy of ‘The readers digest complete book of sewing’. The 20p I paid for it at a car boot sale was well worth it 🤣 . . .
