Postscript: a bedtime story
For anyone who wonders why I’m so scrupulous when it comes to providing PSAs about editorial tweaking of my works on AO3: the entire reason I finally got my butt off LJ and all of my stories finally installed at AO3 in 2012-13 is because I got tired of the dozen or more private messages and comments per week asking me when the @#$% it would be possible to download my stories in mobile formats. Some folks were downright rude about it.
With me, change is glacial, so the fact that this shift happened at all is shocking. I hope that the people who used to both badger me and ask nicely about this over on LJ are now enjoying being able to download anything they wish. Love you guys!
