Feminist!
As I wait for my interview with Mira Schor, I have been enjoying a very productive time in the studio taking a graduate letterpress course with April Sheridan and getting press assistance from current Book & Paper MFA candidate, Levi Sherman,
Doing workshops at Read/Write Library thanks to Laura Miller and making plant paper with Book & Paper alum Maggie Puckett with Seeds InService,
And shaped boxes with Miriam Schaer for the masks we made in Republic of Georgia with activists. Paper for cover made from hemp by Book & Paper MFA candidate, Kelly Schmidt.
I'm also working with Book & Paper alum, Jillian Bruschera of Mobile Mill on my Fulbright in Sarajevo. She is building a papermaking studio in a backpack for our work.
It has been a highly productive and engaged time thanks to a lot of folks, a reminder that it takes a village to make art, raise a family, and live as a feminist in this world.
