If you're on mobile and are annoyed by the "great" new tumblr feature of ads popping out and auto playing while you scroll, a nice work around is to just open a YouTube video into the much smaller pop-out window (if your phone supports that) and just have that open. It takes up far less space, you can move it around the screen, and ads won't auto play anymore because even if it's paused your phone still thinks your watching a video already.
