I've seen BvS (went for the midnight showing) and as a comic book fan, I love it! my friend who's not familiar with the comics liked it too so I hope this can assure that anon of yours that seems to worry about the critics/reviews of BvS . Just go on and watch it (and get all those Easter eggs!)

Yes she breaks up with him to go overseas for a med student intern/fellow/whatever they do -ship for a year and decides by herself that they won’t hack the long-distance thing. Takao sits around for a couple of months absolutely failing to put his life back together and then just starts mailing her again like nothing’s changed. She’s honestly surprised that he doesn’t start dating anyone else.
