if you think about it , loki's forte is being safe . it's why he always has seemingly foolproof plans . it's why , even in heated moments , he takes a moment to analyze the situation . it's why he didn't want to take a chance with killing kang . and , i think , it's why he fell for sylvie . sylvie is him . sylvie is safe , or so he thought .
mobius is anything but safe . he immediately puts his trust in a dangerous variant . he goes with said variant to an apocalypse on a hunch , he runs after variant in a supermarket , apparently ready to race headfirst into something dangerous . he runs with a half - assed plan he knows full well he may not get out of , and he faces the person who ' killed ' him , knowing he may well be killed for real this time . mobius is not the safe option , and loki chooses him over and over anyways .
so yeah their dynamic makes me a little emOTIONAL
