MT Frisk and CharaFrisk was minding their own business, having just finished purchasing some groceries at the store, and was about to head home when the passenger side door was yanked open just as they turned the key in the ignition.Someone they’d never seen before hopped into the car like this was totally normal, shut the door hurriedly, and glanced out the window.“Who are you?” Frisk asked, confused.“Don’t worry about it. Just drive. Hey, do you happen to have any weapons in this car?” the individual asked, looking so completely serious Frisk didn’t bother questioning any of it.Frisk quickly put the car in reverse, backing out of the parking space a lot quicker than they probably would have otherwise, and set off. The stowaway kept glancing out the side view mirror, which Frisk also did not question, though they did drive slightly faster. Then, the gunshots started.“What is happening?” Frisk demanded, panicked.“I dunno. You steal one chocolate bar and suddenly the store owner’s three surprisingly angry cousins are trying to kill you.”Frisk would have stared at them in disbelief if they weren’t so focused on not running into anything. “All this is over a chocolate bar?”“Yeah, people get weird over their inventory, don’t they,” the stowaway agreed, missing the point completely.Frisk decided to keep their attention on driving rather than replying to the comment. They weren’t sure how to reply to it, anyway.Fortunately, whoever was chasing them didn’t appear to have very good aim, because Frisk’s car didn’t seem to take any damage whatsoever during the chase. The same could not be said for the cars in either lane beside them, however- a particularly unfortunate car on their left was riddled with bullet holes by the time it switched lanes just to get away from the chaos.Frisk swerved between cars, hoping to lose their pursuers, but it was significantly more difficult than they had anticipated. At least their aim didn’t seem to be improving at all, though Frisk had a feeling everyone else on the street was not quite so pleased. The chase lasted a lot longer than Frisk would have liked, but eventually, finally, they caught a break as they managed to pass an intersection just as the light was turning yellow, and their pursuers ended up running a red light- right in full view of a police car.As the other car got pulled over, Frisk’s ‘guest’ let out a cheer. “HECK YEAH! THAT WAS AWESOME!”Frisk was just relieved the gunshots had stopped. Now that they could focus on something other than trying to avoid getting shot, they asked, “So, who are you?”After seeming to consider whether or not to answer for a bit, the individual replied, “I’m Chara.”“Frisk,” Frisk replied. They were still a bit in shock at everything that had just happened, but they never pass up an opportunity to make friends.“Well, thanks, Frisk,” Chara said.“No problem. Anywhere in particular you want me to drop you off at?”Chara was silent for a bit, seeming to be thinking, before shrugging. “Doesn’t really matter…”Frisk didn’t say anything else, and simply kept driving. There was complete silence in the car for about twenty more minutes before Chara finally spoke again, seeing that they were entering a residential area.“So, where are we going, anyway?”“My house. I need to put away the groceries.” Frisk replied.About a minute later, Frisk pulled into the driveway of a small house. They gathered a few bags of groceries from the back of the car and headed for the front door. Chara followed soon afterward with the other two bags, figuring the least they could do was help out.Inside, Frisk put away all the groceries in record time; even Chara was impressed, which was saying something, since it was quite difficult to impress them.“Want some hot chocolate?” Frisk asked after the final groceries had been put away.Chara’s eyes lit up at the word chocolate. Suddenly, Frisk was not at all surprised they’d risked their life to steal a chocolate bar.“I’ll take that as a yes.”
