Brooklyn 99 renewed for S7

I can literally hear this in her voice
it’s totes something she would say
I feel like they FitzS1mmons will always be like this is because Fitz has a tendency to make everything about himself. Daisy’s power turned into how Jemma abandoned him. Jenna’s on another planet turned into how HE failed and couldn’t protect her. Daisy left how it effected him etc.
anti-fitz
you know what... I think this can be filed under ‘one of the many reasons I don’t like the trope of character A seeing himself as unworthy of character B as a romantic one unless character A agrees to go to therapy or something of that sort
because for as long as he’ll be that insecure, which I’m not even blaming him for, he obviously has had a horrible dad and so on, everything that goes wrong will be taken as his personal failure. Everyone who leaves, left him, and it’s because he’s not enough. Or if he, rarely, feels like he didn’t deserve it, he’ll lash out. Everything that happens leads to Jemma having to reassure him first and maybe, if there is any time to do anything else, process her trauma. Look at when she jumped off a plane... and then had to reassure him he was the hero even if he hadn’t been able to jump.
Now, I could say the same for Jemma who was always the ‘blaming myself for everything’ person, but there is a big difference: she keeps trying to do good without making other people’s problem the fact that she thinks she failed. The ONE time she decided for Fitz by leaving SHIELD, she paid dearly for it. And since then, she has been seen involving him in her decision, trying to speak about her feelings more. But still trying to never ask for too much comfort especially to people who are already hurting. Now, Jemma obviously needs also therapy because it’s since s2 and even a bit before that she blames on herself everything that goes wrong, and keeping it inside might not make people feel the need to comfort her constantly but will also get to her head and make her do wrong choices, completely shutting down her traumas isn’t a solution. But at the same time there is an attempt from her to share later, to be better than before, to not get stuck in her head, to try to solve problems together. In season 4 her fight with Fitz over hiding Aida from her highlights to me how they can’t make their relationship work because SHE is the one trying to make it work, Fitz is trying to save her. Jemma is focused on the ‘us’ of the relationship, then him, then herself. He’s focused on what he thinks is best for her, like Jemma did when going undercover, then maybe their relationship, than maybe himself. And that’s just not working. Because Jemma is both trying to make him be okay and to keep their relationship working and to make him communicate while simultaneously having to guess his problems because he won’t open up, having to always remind him he’s good, and unable to vent because technically her traumas were often caused by some of his choices, by accident obviously, but still weren’t things she ‘chose’ to do, and therefore he’d blame himself for them and feel worse, which wouldn’t help anyone.
like, how can she tell Fitz that one of the LMDs he blames himself for, pretended to be him, gaslighted, hurt her, and was traumatic like that? Fitz would both hate himself for it and also be worried about scaring her with his presence, and take a step awayhow can they talk about how traumatic the Doctor was if Fitz looked gutted just at the mention that it is Jemma’s greatest fear? How can they talk about the Framework in general with Fitz already beating himself up for it, and what it did to her?
How can she talk about anything that happened in s2 after how he felt about her leaving, him breaking, the brain damage he got saving her? How can she talk about her torture, if it was done to force him to help and even worked? How can she vent about Maveth, which is so connected to Will? How can she vent much about Hive, for the reason above? Can she tell him about Kasius, at least, maybe? Though careful not to make him feel bad for not arriving earlier?
They both tend to make problems about themselves, Jemma interalizes them and that’s bad, she needs to get help, but at least she’s not stopping him from venting about everything because why wouldn’t he, if he chose so? On the other hand, he indirectly stops HER from venting by openly showing how much he dies inside over all the bad things that happened to them
plus, from now on, there is the very specific problem of his mental health being that fragile, so Jemma is even less allowed to stress him out. And while he could vent with others about it, Mack is so ready to be back to be his friend after his death, for example, or hell, he vented with Hunter? Who is Jemma supposed to talk, Daisy, after the way they ended up at opposite sides at the end of season 5? Mack, who is more of his friend and not that close to her? Elena, who as far as we know, has only gotten closer now that she lost her arms but otherwise wasn’t? May? Nope.
Just got Psylocke and she is ridiculously awesome. Worth the buy
Lucky ba- you!!! 😂
Great, that’s reassuring to hear! Where would you say she is in terms of tier/meta?
mocking-point replied to your post: According to that link, Sharon has only been on...
let her guest star on AoS!
I know they tried to get her on the show but EVC couldn't get out of Revenge, but I would LOVE to see her on AoS.
mocking-point replied to your post: Both Steve Rogers and Daisy Johnson are very ‘all...
I love the comparison but I feel like Skye would’ve been just as much Team Cap as Daisy. Especially judging by her reaction to the index and not trusting he system.
I was thinking along the lines that Team IM is on the side of knowing who the ‘heroes’ are and RT Skye was all about the public having access to knowledge rather than it being kept under wraps until danger struck. But you’re right about her not trusting the system. I think she’d probably have been on the edge, since Team Cap was on the side of still operating pretty secretively (even if they meant well by withholding info), but having the freedom to do what they think is right.
Daisy Johnson
Thanks!
First impression: I liked her but I wasn’t blown away? It took me a little longer to really warm up to her and cry over her and everything.
Impression now: She is a strong badass as they come, who makes Melinda May proud, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t need a break!!!! #letmychildrenrest
Favorite moment: She has had ton of great moments, but one that has always been my favourite is the full S1 sequency where she refuses to give in to W*rd’s twisted logic and she doesn’t condone his actions because he ~loves~ her. What a badass.
Idea for a story: I have a lot of ideas involving Daisy in my to-write list, but one that is doing the rounds all the time in my mind is the FitzDaisy Wonder Woman AU ispired by @theclaravoyant‘s great photoset.
Unpopular opinion: Uf, this is rough. I don’t want Daisy to be Director. The comics, I know, and chances are high that the show is going that road, and I will make my peace with it if it happens, but I think being Director implies making a lot of compromises that I’m not sure Daisy will be comfortable making.
Favorite relationship: Bus Kids.
Favorite headcanon: #giveBiDaisyagirlfriend2K18
Send me a character and ill answer these about them.
Trish Walker/Matt Murdock acrobatics
* Trish and Matt regularly argue over the definition of acrobatics. Matt’s of the opinion that his parkour is all that is needed to be an acrobate. Trish, on the other hand, is convinced that it take’s more than scaling a few walls to be an acrobate. you have to be able to do the flips and kicks and all the fancy things she learned to do.
*They constanly have competitions on who is more acrobatic due to these disagreements. They’ll select a path and with someone as the judge (usually Jessica cuz she’s the most available and Trish can puppy dog eyes her into judging for them) and each take turns to run the course and do all of the acrobatics they can to show off.
*Trish almost always wins, though Matt does once in a while clame favoritism on Jessica’s part.
*They also compete in fights, and even though Matt can’t see exactly when Trish is doing he knows she’s showing off and it’s both adorable and annoying as fuck because she usually gets hurt more than nexxessary doing it.
*Acrobatics is really a touchy subject in their relationship, and the two of them often find themselves having to agree to disagree on the small details. though, Trish never for a second lets Matt get away with ‘sloppy acrobatics’. if he’s not doing something fancy while scaling a wall or chasing a bad guy, he has no right to call his work acrobatics. there has to be at least one cool flip somewhere.
