It wasn't that it was Katniss, but the slimy, slick feeling in his belly. He knew that feeling, was familiar with that feelings, because sometimes and some nights there was a little something extra in his drink and he decided not to mention because--what was the point?
And he woke up with holes in his memories. And he couldn't remember what had happened, and Katniss was looking at him with some dark emotion twisted in her eyes and--oh god.
Play it smooth, Finnick. Your only defense is charm, is your flippant uncaring. Use it like a shield, just like you always have.
