Please pray for my Mockingjay babies!

I found out today their mother is a carrier of ring worm. This means she carries the infection but does not show any symptoms (lesions, hair loss, etc.) 

5 of the babies have confirmed cases of ring worm, including Mockingjay who was spayed this morning. Effie is the only one who does not, but we are treating her anyway since she has been exposed.

They are now at the shelter so they are closer to the medicine and the vet. My house is way too empty, and my heart is breaking.

The Mockingjay crew got vaccinated this morning

It was hilarious watching them react to another adult around them. They've seen some, but this time I'd unplugged everything and gave them free roam of the room. 

So, I found out Finnick is a shy and a bit scared around strangers. He hunkered down on my shoulder with his ears flat, and seemed to be getting ready to climb down my shoulder and back away from the lady helping me. 

She could not get over how beautiful Effie is, and I tried to explain to her how Effie came by her name. 

They are 11 weeks old tomorrow!

My babies is growing up!

I can honestly say I am attached, though I will be more than ready to let them go to good homes. I will miss their antics, each have their own personal funny things they do, their own purr and snuggle, it's been so much fun.

The Mockingjay crew got weighed today!

It's amazing how fast kittens grow, and how quickly the mothers teach them to be self-sufficient.

Haymitch, Johanna, Finnick and Mockingjay are all over 2 pounds and ready to be spayed or neutered.

Trinket and Effie still need to gain some weight to be ready for their spay surgeries. Can't believe they are almost 10 weeks old!

Today was a big day for the Mockingjay crew

The babies are 8 weeks old tomorrow, and mom said she was done with all their shit! She would be away from them for 13 hours, with them for two and be growling, hissing and making some of the most awesome cat cussing noises I have ever witnessed.

Delly is now back at Tama County Humane Society, people can see her, meet her, fall in love with her and she can get herself a home. The babies are still with me, growing, healthier and hilarious as always.

Happy Thanksgiving!

My little Mockingjay crew are doing great. More of them have eyes open, they are tumbling around, it's adorable.
