Welcome to Disaster Duo, a fic fest that is centered on our beloved boys, Katsuki Bakugou and Izuku Midoriya who win and rescue! Let out the angst, drama, fluff, mystery or even thriller!
We hope all of us can enjoy this to the fullest!
But first, what is a Fic Fest?
A Fic Fest is a “prompt and claim” format event. It means anyone can send in prompts via Google Forms or to our email following a format that will be provided when the prompting is open! AND YES! You can send a prompt without claiming it and you can claim a prompt to write without sending one. The prompts will be collected in a certain period of time and will be revealed after.

Be respectful to everyone, including the rules stated after this.
Cooperate with the mods to make this fest a success!
For readers, your comments will always be appreciated, especially by our beloved authors! You are not forced to have a long comment about the fic but simple comments makes the writers happy.
Interact with us on Twitter and Tumblr and tell us your favorite fics! You may not know the authors until the reveals but they can see your reactions on the social media.
For writers, respect your prompters’ wishes, always include the details they included in their prompts. If ever they added about the things they didn’t want to be included, you should respect that.
But also enjoy the fest and know that you have the creative freedom to create beautiful stories for our boys, Kacchan and Deku.
DONT’S
Bashing the author’s work. The writers work so hard to create beautiful fics, please respect them.
Causing conflict. (Consult the DD mods should any problems arise to avoid it from getting bigger).
Claiming a prompt and then disappearing during the deadline and not replying to our check-in without asking for an extension. If you can’t meet the deadline and would like to extend it or drop the prompt altogether, please inform any of DD mods as soon as possible.
PROMPTING
Prompting will be opened at a specific date.
Please fill out the form carefully as possible. If you have any information missing or lacking, we will contact you again.
ONE FORM, ONE PROMPT
>>If you want to send multiple prompts, you have to submit a form to each one of them. THERE SHOULD NOT BE TWO PROMPTS OR MORE IN ONE SUBMISSION. One form, one prompt.
WHAT IS CONSIDERED A GOOD PROMPT?
The prompt should be:
Not too vague but also not too detailed.
The prompt should not be a story summary. We want the writers to have the freedom to interpret your prompt in a way that allows their creativity to be exercised.
GOOD PROMPT: Katsuki and Izuku are childhood friends who were separated when the latter moved away without a word. Thirteen years later, they meet again.
BAD PROMPT: Katsuki met Izuku when they were kids. They are best friends. One day, Izuku found out that Katsuki has a secret. He barged into his room and saw Katsuki’s tail and ears and figured that he was a cat hybrid. Now they try to hide it with everyone at school. Izuku loves his cat hybrid friend, so he asked him on a date and well… had… you know, that’s where Izuku he has a thing for Katsuki’s tail. Yeah, it’s like this.

If you can’t access the google forms, that’s fine! You can always submit through email! Just know the specific time and date for the prompting!
CLAIMING
FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. There would instances where we love to write the same prompt, however we all want to give a chance for all the prompts to be written. Unless the prompt is dropped, the prompt is unavailable once claimed.
>>If you can’t find any prompt that is suited for your liking, you can send your own prompt and write it! In other words, self-prompt! But beware that the prompts are in a first come, first serve basis. If the prompt you sent is already taken, you can’t take it unless someone drop it out.
Bakugou Katsuki/Midoriya Izuku should be the main pairing in all entries; but you don’t have to end it with a happy ending.

YOU MUST REMAIN ANONYMOUS. Do not discuss your prompts or assignments, either the one you gave or the one you claimed, in public (Twitter, Tumblr, etc.). Authors will be anonymous until the reveals! :D
The entries should be original and can stand on their own. It should not be a continuation of something that is already posted.
PLAGIARISM IS NOT ALLOWED. The entries will be taken down as soon as it is noticed by the mods.
All the entries must be rated and given warnings accurately and appropriately.
>> Sensitive topics as DUB-CON, NON-CON, HEAVY VIOLENCE, CHARACTER DEATH, etc., must be TAGGED and WARNED
A minimum of 2,000 words unless stated otherwise is required to submit a final fic. There is no maximum limit, so you can write as long as you want!
There is no limit of the prompts you can claim however you can only claim them one at a time.
Just like the prompts, if you can’t access the google form, it is totally fine! You can always claim via email!
CHECK-INs
The check-ins will be operated through email on a personal basis.
THE CHECK-INS ARE REALLY IMPORTANT
FIRST CHECK-IN
The first check in doesn’t require to have a specific word count. Just send us your progress (whatever it may be) via email. We trust that you will be responsible for the progress of your story.
SECOND CHECK-IN
The second check-in will require a specific count of your work, at least 900 words. Email us your username, the title of your story (does not have to be the official one), word count and the document attached. The instructions will be given in the email days prior to the check-in deadline. If needed an extension, this is the date to ask.
EXTENSIONS and DROP-OUTs
Do not hesitate to contact us through our email if ever you need an extension. It will be granted on a case-by-case basis. You need to inform us if you needed another day or two to finish your work.
Please let us know as soon as possible if ever you need to drop out so we can clear our the prompt you have chosen.
We hope that many of you are interested in participating this festival for our strong and brave boys! If you are thinking of joining, but is hesitating because it might be your first time joining a fest, don’t be afraid! The mods are here to help and make this into a fun experience.
