is it bad if i never write straight trans characters?
no, not necessarily! although they do exist, I don’t think you are erasing them by not including them.

Hey, I love your blog! But I do have a question. So I'm a trans guy trying to write a sci fi novel to publish, in which the main char is also a trans guy. The thing is, I don't want the fact that I'm trans to be out there if I publish this book, but I also don't want to get hate for being a 'cis' author writing a book about a trans charavter. (Though I'm making it resepctful etc) I love the character and plot, which has some elements based on the character's gender. What should I do?
you don’t need to disclose the fact that you’re trans! as far as i know, Jeff Garvin, who wrote Symptoms of Being Human with a genderqueer MC, hasn’t disclosed his agab either. that’s not something anyone except your partner(s) need to know.
