THIS WILL BE SO MUCH FUN!!! Who came up with this idea? And when will the applications open?

The idea for the zine came from @pinkterracota-cherryblossoms! (we’ll have a post showing everyone involved with the organization up in a bit!)

The application will (hopefully) be up before the end of the month!

Can you participate without having to get a physical copy? I’d love to, but I don’t know how I feel about giving out super personal info

There will only be digital copies. 

There is a potential physical copies will be sent to hermits with PO boxes, but participants will not receive physical copies, as this zine will not have any money involved with it.

Do you think if yo got a positive enough response you might think about making physical copies, or at least potential access to them? I understand it’s a lot of hassle so this is just a curiosity question as I understand first hand how difficult setting up a magazine is.

Unfortunately, probably not. Even if people wanted to pay for the cost of printing physical copies, the fact we are using the hermits likeness in this means we would want explicit permission from each of them before getting any money involved, even if we won’t be making any profit, and that’s just not feasible.

will there be certain criteria that we will have to meet, specifically with art? because I want to make something for the zine but I'm bad at everything right now and doubt I can improve fast enough

Each applicant will be judged on a case by case basis, and not judged against each other. As long as it's shown you put effort into your art, you will most likely be accepted.

That said, the way we will be judging is based on what applicants have posted to social media, not specific pieces submitted, so please do make sure you have at least an example of one finished piece uploaded to at least one social media.
