What would you guys like to see more of in terms of custom content?
The problem I have with modern feminism is it talks more about what men do wrong than why women should be equal to men.
If your movement is about the empowerment of women, should women be the main topic of discussion more than men?
I just wanted to know if you'd add two more girls to your "girls in gaming" post? And if so, could you tag me so that I can find it easier? If not, could you let me know that you aren't adding them so that I can reblog and add it myself? :) The first is IronLiz (@IronLiz). She posts a lot on twitter but no longer seems to do videos. I'm unsure why but I think she got a lot of shtick for her appearance. She's an amazing person, and really deserves more attention. And the second girl is... (1/2)
(2/2) … Tina Von Rotter (@TinavonRotter). She’s a let’s player, and she does some of the funniest and most enjoyable commentary I’ve ever seen. She only has about 4-5k subs, so she’s relatively obscure, but she’s a really awesome person and deserves far more acknowlegement than Sarkeesian and Wu, and the like. Sorry for not giving you too much information on the above girls - you may need to do a little BG reading for your descriptions - but ask character limits are far too restricting. :(
I would love to dear, but unfortunately Tumblr actually limits photo posts to ten, so I’d have to make a whole new set (which I may do, in the future). In the mean time, I will post all the info here if anyone is interested :) - Mod Dawes Sr.
It is complete. Because of the restrictions of Tumblr's picture posting, I could only make ten of these to post, so I decided to pick one person to sort of represent difference facets of video game development and the community. A few things to note: I combined Barabra, Suzy, and Lindsay because I didn't want to just pick one as the face of the entertainment side of gaming, but I they produce different content than iHasCupquake so I wanted them to have their own image, so I decided to combine them. For developers and creators I tried to also display the games most commonly associated with them or their most recent games. For Mira Shimazaki, there are actually few pictures of her and none big enough to fit the full size image. She seems to speak and represent herself through her work, which is awesome, so used Bayonetta as her full picture since that's who she's most famous for.
Obviously there are a lot more women than this in the gaming community in all capacities. They work on all levels and in every avenue, and you can see here, it ranges from independent work to multi million dollar affairs. But I hope you guys enjoy this either way. Here is the link to the original post which includes way more amazing women.
Do you think it's wrong to make or listen to music that appropriates other cultures, such as The Beatles using Indian influences and instruments in some of their songs?
Nope. Because without it we wouldn’t have the diversity of music we have today. Music is actually one of the most culturally fluid things a society has, and it’s one of the easiest things a person becomes acculturated to when entering a different culture, because the effects, attributes, purpose, and appreciation of music is very similar across different cultures. It’s not completely universal, but music and art is unique in that every culture has it to an extent, yet it is not something which occurs naturally in behavior. There’s no inherent, evolutionary reason for humans to engage in it. Yet pretty much all cultures do (in fact, music and singing are disadvantageous to humans in an evolutionary sense). Jargon aside, no I don’t think so at all. Music is something most cultures happily share.

Is jack the pumpkin king disney
I would say he is, but he's not a villain. :)- Mod Dawes Sr.
Today someone paid for my coffee in the drive thru. I wasn't even having a bad day but it still made me even happier than I was. Little things can brighten someone's day. If you've got the opportunity, take it.
