my heart warms that you all are still around. i'm so proud of you! i haven't been on my kinblog in so long since my attention keeps shifting from one thing to another, but it's always so nice to see this blog still doing their best to help the hskinmunity. i was wondering if i could ask for a request? perhaps decor for a roxykin who loved to write poetry in notebooks, dabbled in witchcraft, and misses her dirk very much? he was very stern... i'd like a cute flask to put water in as well. ty! ~rl

So I feel like I owe you guys an apology! This blog has been kinda inactive. A lot of the reason is because Mod D currently has an out of action laptop, so can't do much, and I've been busy with work and driving lessons!! However, I'm pleased to say that I've passed my driving test, so I'll have a bit more time to spend focusing on the blog!! - Mod DoomedDirk

Could I possibly get some positivity for a Dirk who really badly misses his Caliborn? We were... romantic, not just platonic.

Hey, dude!

So... you know my general advice for missing people from past lives. It’s your general "things for x” tag; fill it full of things that remind you of them, things that you want to show them, things you think they’ll like - anything can help. Sometimes surrounding yourself with things like this can help the feeling of loneliness and missing them. Sending out canon calls can also help; even if it’s simple, even if it doesn’t say much, just knowing that you’re doing something to help find them can make it all feel a lot easier to handle. Putting pda stuff - from suggestion blogs, for instance - can also be a good way to handle not having a romantic canon partner around. Sometimes it’s nice to just vent out your feelings like that, to get it all down, to even write your own! It’s nice to think, too, that they might see it and it might make them pleased. 

Try to find music you associate with them. Listening to that can help just as much as any tag! It might increase the feeling of loneliness, sure... but I find it also tends to bring a feeling of completeness with it, too. Like you’re connecting with them, somehow, through the things you’re listening to. Or maybe it can just make you think of a canon moment that makes you feel warm. In either case, it’s a good feeling!

I say this a lot, so I’m sure you’ve heard it by now, but always, always remember that he very likely misses you just as much. In my experience, I’ve never met a romantic pair who haven’t missed the heck out of each other before they’ve met. He’ll be out there, trying to find you, as much as you are for him. Keep searching. Keep up Hope! He’s out there, dude. It may take time, and the waiting game is one of the hardest things to deal with, but honestly? It’s all so very, very worth it in the end. It’ll feel like such a huge relief when you finally see him. 

You’ll be alright. Missing someone hurts, and it hurts a lot, but you just need to tell yourself that each day you’re getting closer to finding him. Each day is a step closer to finally being reunited again! And that is a wonderful, wonderful feeling.
