An accountant comes into their magical power and it’s not great because they accidentally set their office on fire and get fired (ha). They end up joining an adventuring party because it seems like a good way to travel and put their new skills to use- and also because no accounting office in their city will even grant an interview. When the party encounters travelling merchants, the sorcerer probably offers to do taxes for them. They criticize the business model of the Adventurers Guild equivalent.
