My first time to Chicago I got sooo sick with strep I couldn't leave my hotel, the second time I got hit by a golf cart and had road rash on my nose and forehead that took months to heal.

Fingers crossed this trip brings me nothing but deep dish and a Jeremy Allen White sighting. 🤞 🌞

How deep are you inside the entertainment industry, if you don’t mind me asking, have you worked with anyone we may be aware of? Maybe you explained this long ago so apologies, I’m a newbie and just found your blog. ☺️ Love learning about industry insights!

I work for an independently owned music PR firm in LA.

Pre-covid I worked at a satellite office of a giant sports agency doing athlete marketing and PR for NFL players.

Before that I did game day comms for an NFL team.

Before that I was a server at a steakhouse chain and a social media manager for a "lifestyle" company.

And before that I studied to become a school counselor.

I can't use this space to discuss clients, known or unknown, but anything else is fair game.

I no longer have a co-mod and the inbox gets weird or busy sometimes, so I don't/can't respond to every ask.

Oregonians! Currently roadtripping through your beautiful state and I could not help but notice a distinct lack of roadkill. Like over 6 hours on the road and not a single carcass.

~48hrs ago. A perfect night in Santa Monica.

Anyway, Mare and I are physically safe, neither of us reside in a current (as of writing this) evacuation zone. But the devastation friends and family and city at large have experienced in the last 24 hours are hard to wrap my head around.

Work is on the back burner. So be warned this blog is going to be a huge bummer for the time being but we’ll get back to “are lavender marriages still a thing” and “how much to buy a smear campaign” soon I hope.

That's a wrap on Mare at Palm Springs International Film Festival

I don't even know how to describe the last few days. My agency's office was somehow damaged in the Sunset fire, and we're waiting on a structural engineer to approve a walkthrough to retrieve any computers or personal belongings that remain. It's too weird to use our work channels to ask about anything other than the well-being of our coworkers and clients so...I have been "free styling" if you will. I'm hoping everyone will understand if the coverage doesn't hit like it should. Press is busy and also who the fuck cares.

I got back to my apartment at like 2 am last night, cried with my roomie a bit. (Something about me is I'm a crier.)

Something else about me is I drive a truck so I will be volunteering with Fleet of Angels to haul and board horses displaced by the fire to my old stables in Norco. If you are in SoCal and have any large companion animal supplies (hay, bedding, fencing, feed) OR know of a need hit me up and I can help arrange transport. 🐴
