My sexuality headcanons for both of them

Pair o lesbians! I've talked about both repressed lesbian Toko and Komaru "I can't possibly be a lesbian I'm just a normal girl!!" on here before, and I stand by both of them. These two are each other's gay realizations

2. Who fell first?

ANOTHER TOUGH ONE I think...they fall in love in the same timespan, but Komaru is aware of it first. Toko is more reflective in general by the time they meet, but she's got horse blinders on regarding romance and her self-convinced love for Byakuya, where Komaru has the space for herself that she can go. Oh god. This isn't just gals being pals anymore. This is gals being...SUPER pals

13. Who came out first?

Also Komaru, and I think Komaru coming out is the catalyst for Toko realizing she's a lesbian. Maybe I'll write a fic about this one day, actually, because I think there's a very clear domino effect of Komaru comes out -> Toko thinks "Komaru likes girls" -> Toko thinks "Could Komaru like ME?!" -> Toko immediately talks herself out of that due to low self esteem but realizes she likes the idea -> Toko realizes oh my god I like girls. And specifically Komaru. And then I'll throw in a jealousy arc in there why not love me a lesbian jealousy arc

18. Who is better at cooking?

Komaru, as with most household chores! Girl was getting the same meal every day for a year, she started exploring spices at some point in there.

2. Who fell first?

Himiko for sure! Both of them use "magic" and "God" as a shield to hide their actual emotions behind, but we canonically see Himiko breaking down that barrier with Angie and Tenko's help, whereas Angie's stays strong even until the end. I truly believe Himiko would've helped Angie in turn if she'd survived, but it's pretty clear whose walls came down first.

8. What did their first kiss look like?

Himiko initiated! One of the best things about Yumenaga is that Himiko is forced into the initiator position in a lot of ways, which is really good for her as someone who struggles to get up motivation to do things. I think Angie quietly encourages Himiko to kiss her for days leading up to Himiko actually planting one on her.

20. Where in the world would they travel together?

Of course they have to travel to Angie's hometown, and Himiko's work takes them all over the world! But I like to think their favorite place to go together is somewhere up north, like Alaska. The idea of them bundled up holding hands is very cute to me.

4. What does their life look like together today?

In canon, they're on their little massively-codependent island! (Though I personally suspect at some point, they reintegrate into society under aliases, with Makoto's help.) In a no-despair AU, by this point, I think they probably have a kid and their lives mostly revolve around that! Mikan is of course a nurse, and I think Peko probably teaches karate locally - I think she'd take a lot of comfort in teaching children rather than working with the mafia.

6. Do you think they’ll have any pets?

A CAAAAAT they name it something cutesy like Mr. Sniffles. He loves Mikan and tolerates Peko.

11. How long did it take for them to get together?

These might be two of the most repressed people in Danganronpa, and that is REALLY saying something. They absolutely have to be matchmade by their friends even after they've been hopelessly in love for two years.

Celestia. Kyoko is effortlessly cool in a way Celestia longs to be; it doesn't take long for jealousy to turn to admiration, and from there to a crush!

20. Where in the world would they travel together?

I mean, most of Europe, of course! I think Kyoko would want to largely stay in Japan because that's where her Detective rank is applicable,even if it carries weight in other countries. However, I think they travel lots in their free time because Celestia loves traveling. I like to think they both surprise themselves when their favorite place turns out to be Morocco!

3. What did their first date look like?

Psychological warfare at a gambling den. Ultimate Analyst vs Ultimate Gambler is the same level of challenge as Ultimate Lucky vs Ultimate Gambler. It's enrichment!

4. What does their life look like together today?

Assuming no-despair AU: they are fabulously wealthy and absolutely bored. One of them is bound to murder the other eventually, at which point they will don a fur robe and seductively welcome a detective into their home. Sometimes they roleplay it. It's just a part of the fun of their relationship.

11. How long did it take for them to get together?

Like with most of Junko's potential relationships, it's really just a matter of Junko going "Yep, it's This One's turn for me to ruin their life" before she gets her way. I think Celestia presents a slight challenge just because she's so guarded, but Junko is a very capable manipulator; she knows how to break down barriers.

2. Who fell first?

Junko. How could she not? This is the one person most likely to destroy her, short of the Sheer Dumb Luck boys. Maybe Junko can predict that Kyoko is circling in on her, but that doesn't change that Kyoko is, inevitably, circling in on her; that Junko will have to work under a time limit to get it all done before she's caught. And isn't that thrilling? Isn't that something she's never felt before? Isn't that love?

5. Do you think they’ll have any kids, or are they child free?

NOOOOOOO god no. Even a relatively healthy, highly-medicated Junko has 1) done too much fucked up shit to ever be trusted with a child by the state, and 2) doesn't WANT kids beyond in passing, when she can use them and move on. And Kyoko won't even let her do that, so hmph.

15. Who was the first person to find out that they’re dating?

Makoto lucks into it by getting stuck in a storage closet in a classroom where they come to make out. He never tells them that he knows.

16. Is there any person they never told that they’re dating?

They tell NO ONE that they're dating. Junko and Kyoko? Getting caught having EMOTIONS? With EACH OTHER? Not in this life. A healthier partner for either of them would be able to coax them into a public relationship, but these two are waaaay too messy to be anything but behind closed doors.

Sonia FOR SURE. Sonia was like wow...a normal girl......living a life I couldn't even dream of....and yet she is so strong....so brave........so beautiful..................meanwhile Akane is thinking about whether she can jump over that handrail or not. (she can)

7. What do they wear to a pride parade?

They're the type of couple to be FULLY decked out. I'm personally a lesbian Akane/queer trans Sonia truther, and I think they bring flags, dye the tips of their hair, get matching rainbow hearts painted on their cheeks, the works. Akane wears a bandana in her pants because she thinks it looks cool and has no idea the chaos she causes.

18. Who is better at cooking?

Akaneeeee canonically worked at a restaurant had to feed her ??? siblings was not catered to by a full chef staff her entire life. She's not Teruteru but she makes a damn good turkey.

20. Where in the world would they travel together?

Novoselic of course, but mostly I think they're very happy in Japan! Sonia probably travels a lot on her own and sends lots of postcards, but Akane's more of a homebody. They always go tot he Olympics together, though.
