Can we have headcanons for Benienma giving her Master cooking lessons?

Beni is very patient with you, after all, it wouldn’t be the first time she’s tried teaching someone to teach. And unlike the Servants she’s tried teaching, you were a fresh clean slate. There isn’t much unlearning that you have to do.

However, she didn’t realize just how much teaching she’d have to do. Making sure you fully understood how cooking worked, how different seasonings or the methods in which you cook something could change the entire outcome of the dish was probably the hardest thing. You were so used to cooking the bare minimum to survive while journeying through Singularities that you were content with just an egg.

Yet Beni found it enjoyable seeing you grow. You were a very dedicated student, and seeing as how much you enjoyed eating, it was clear that you were learning fast. The more you learned how amazing food could be, the more intrigued you were by all the combinations that could be made. It was impressive how quickly you were picking things up, but Beni was honestly not too surprised considering how quickly your mind worked on the battlefield. She was really proud to see how happy you were whenever someone ate your food and enjoyed it thoroughly. Whenever you would gush at her about how happy people were about the things that you made, she would simply reassure you that this is why people really enjoy cooking. Sometimes it’s not about just learning the skills, it’s also about finding the smaller details in life that makes you happy.

Beni does sometimes find that you take the idea of “liberty in cooking” to a new level. There have been some really strange combinations of foods and spices and seasoning that she’s never really thought of. She really finds it strange that you were able to even think up such combinations, but she doesn’t question it any further when she finds that maybe half the time, the food does taste really good.

If the requests are still open, how would the Origins companions react to finding out that Cousland was, well, the last surviving Cousland?

Alistair: He understands their sorrow, and weeps with them. He understands the loss of family, Duncan’s death still fresh in his mind. He hugs them gently, knowing that the support of a friend is just what someone needs- him included. They help one another with the struggles loss brings. 

Morrigan: She doesn’t know how to react. She hasn’t encountered loss like this before, and she doesn’t know how to help. She doesn’t quite understand their behavior so she keeps her distance until she can decide what to do and whether or not she is able to help.

Leliana: She immediately offers comfort. Her lullabies help Cousland fall asleep without nightmares, and she always is there to offer a shoulder to cry on or a hand to hold while they wipe the cold sweat off of their forehead due to the latest flashback.

Wynne: She understands. She offers support and a listening ear and gives advice that works well to help the Cousland process their grief. She finds the Cousland coming to her often- whether for advice or a conversation to distract- she doesn’t mind. She feels responsible for this person, somehow. 

Zevran: He doesn’t quite understand their sorrow at first. The assassination and death of families is his job and all he has ever seen. He does understand, however, that his friend is suffering. He does his best to distract them with wild tales and stories that may or may not be exaggerated, coupled with laughs and good drinks. 

Oghren: He doesn’t say anything, just hands them a flask. He doesn’t know what to say- he doesn’t know what will help. He knows that a good drink always helps him though, so he helps in the only way he knows, even if it doesn’t always work. 

Shale: Does not understand. Why does the squishy human leak from their eyes? Conversations don’t help Shale understand, the golem is still confused but keeps their mouth shut afterward.

Sten: He understands what Cousland feels but doesn’t know why they dwell on it. The past is in the past, and one must always move forward. He just doesn’t understand why they are still so sad. He takes initiative and forces them to spar with him- the release of tension and energy just what Cousland needed to clear their head. 

Dog: Dog can tell that Cousland is sad, but he can’t exactly understand what they are saying and why it is significant. What is a “Cousland?” Why is it bad that they are gone? All dog knows is that he has a job to do- protect his owner. And he does this the best he can, by providing kisses, cuddles, and distracting them with playtime. He even tries to give them his favorite bone.

I don't think I've seen this addressed, so I hope I'm not double-sending: can I submit a work that I've written only a prologue for, but whose story has changed drastically since I posted the prologue? And will I need to take down/rewrite the prologue? Thank you so much, hoping you guys are safe wherever you are!

So we definitely discussed this when your first ask came through, but somehow it got lost???

But anyway. Yes, you can submit your new story, but we would ask that you take down the previously posted prologue before posting the new content. If you choose to rewrite it and include the updated version in your work, that’s entirely up to you.

Hi! Can I request hcs for arjuna and archer gil seeing their s/o come back to chaldea severely injured?

Arjuna

Arjuna does not immediately respond. He hears the news, and it’s as though his entire world goes static. He can’t hear anything, it’s all white noise. But he can sense the chaos and tension that is permeating throughout all of Chaldea. 

It’s not until Mash runs by and informs him of the details that Arjuna is finally running towards the infirmary. He already knows that he will be denied entry. He knows that the chances of him being allowed inside are low, but he doesn’t care - he needs to see you for himself. He needs to determine that you’re alive and well, that you’re doing okay. 

As soon as he makes his way in, he feels like he can’t breathe. His eyes are locked on your frame, and he finds it hard for him to come to any sort of thoughts. All he can think about it is how pale you look. Your frame appeared smaller than before. Your hair was pushed haphazardly out of your way, with strands clinging onto your damp skin. Even though the room was rather cold, your body was burning and the sweat on your skin was evidence of that.

He can barely speak your name as he gets close enough to hold your hand in both of his. He’s trying so hard not to break down in front of everyone, but he also knows that he cannot leave your side. He refuses to. He’s terrified and anxious - scared that if he leaves, he may never see you again.

When he’s forced out of the infirmary so that the doctors could do their work, he struggles between sitting there and waiting patiently, or going out there to seek vengeance. If it weren’t for the fact that you had returned after you successfully reclaimed a timeline for yourself and the singularity was now sealed and closed off forever, he would’ve done it. 

While you’re recovering, he spends all his time checking in on you and telling you about all the stories about the happenings in Chaldea. His hands are always holding onto yours, and his voice is so soft and gentle, as though trying to lull you to sleep. In reality, he’s scared that he’ll disrupt the little bits of peace that he has right now. He knows that you are safe and that you are recovering, but it does scare him that you spend so much of your days sleeping. What if you close your eyes and never wake up again - it’s a really far reach for a what if, but he can’t help his fears causing him to be so paranoid. But every time you squeeze his hand in return and he sees your soft smile, he feels reassured that with time, you’ll be okay.

Gilgamesh

Gilgamesh is the first one to barge into the infirmary to see the situation for himself. He was informed almost immediately. Although, perhaps, informed was not the correct word. Gilgamesh has been monitoring your vital signs alongside Mash and Da Vinci as soon as they sent you out to check on that minute singularity. Despite his insistence on going along, you had denied him - stating that the Servants that were with you at the time of discovering it should be the ones to go with you. He regrets trusting someone besides himself to keep you safe.

His anger was - momentarily - directed towards them at first. He was frustrated and angered that he wasn’t there to help you. He should have been there. He knew for a fact that he was the best person to be by your side and protect you. It’s not as though the two of you haven’t been together since the very beginning of your journey in Chaldea. He wishes so strongly that he was there, and honestly if it weren’t for the fact that he’s been reprimanded by you countless of times to not start pointless arguments with other Servants in Chaldea. However, he does enact his ‘revenge’ in a different way by making the Servants that were there for you go through a much more extensive training regimen for them. The last thing he wants is for this mistake to happen again. 

He spends a lot of his time either pacing outside the hallway grumbling to himself about how your stubbornness led to this situation, but he also spends a lot of time just holding your hand and helping the medical staff take care of you. It’s one of the few times where he will change into clothes that are not so clunky and obnoxious and space consuming. He cares about you, and only wants the best. He was a bit clumsy when he first offered to help, but with the amount of time he’s spent watching over you, he’s gradually become better and better at taking care of you. 

When you’ve recovered enough to wake up, it’s one of the rare times in which Gil doesn’t nag at you much. He knows that you’re still struggling to move yourself around without assistance and he can tell from the grimace and pouts on your face that you are not happy with yourself either. Though once you open your mouth to complain, it’s highly likely that Gilgamesh will begin to point out everything that you could’ve done better and things you did wrong. It makes you want to shut him up, but you can hear the strain of emotion in his voice. This incident clearly did not sit well with him and he really was concerned for you.

S/o being a harem magnet but trying to get the attention of one servant. Enkidu. Who probably doesn’t seem to notice yet.

There are so many things that Enkidu doesn’t realize, and surprisingly the one thing that Enkidu has consistently forgotten about is the fact that their beloved Master and significant other is always trying to get their attention, but they don’t notice at all. 

Enkidu treats you like normal. You’re just their beloved master, someone that they will always strive to protect. They have learned so much from being able to be by your side and want nothing more than to continue being by your side. 

Sometimes, it made things more difficult whenever Enkidu was especially friendly to you. Whenever you were constantly actively trying to get Enkidu’s attention, it was always when you weren’t trying to get their attention that they would focus their attention onto you, and it almost always flusters you. You were never prepared. You weren’t sure if you looked good that day, or if you were prepared for what Enkidu had to say to you. And honestly, you were always surprised by them for the sudden attention, you always feel like you were going to lose your mind with how close they were all of the sudden and how attentive they were to your every single need

Regardless to say, it always drives you insane with how attentive Enkidu is to everything except for the fact that you were interested in them. Enkidu would know all of your likes and dislikes. They memorize your lunch order and they know exactly how sweet they like your drinks. Yet they had no idea that you were interested in them romantically.

You do your best to make it more prelevant and obvious that you like them, yet it still seems as though Enkidu just doesn’t really get it. It’s endearing and often times adorable with how you could easily confess just how much you love spending time with them and would love to spend even more time together in the future. But Enkidu always interprets it platonically, and really, you can’t fault them when this is exactly what you expected from Enkidu to begin with. So while it does get a bit discouraging for you, you can’t give up on the fact that Enkidu is the person you love the most.

Here's an angsty one! How about unrequited love headcanons for J'alter and Mash?

Jalter

Jeanne Alter would never admit that she was in love with someone. Even more so if it was her Master of all people. Yet it was hurting her more than anything in all of her life seeing her precious Master so in love and infatuated with someone that wasn’t her. She remembers when she had thought that those glance and fond gazes her Master gave her were the same as the ones she gave to them - ones with implications of love. That was most certainly not what Jalter’s master had given her. It was just fondness, as a friend, as a Master.

They were just glad to see Jalter flourish and feel more comfortable as herself despite her origins. That was it. But for Jalter, somehow she had grown far too attached. Far more than she ever planned to. It’s painful and at times, she finds herself going overboard during missions and simulations in hopes that it would get her Master’s attention. It might not have been attention for the right reasons, but it would be attention that was focused solely on her and that’s all that mattered to her.

Jalter’s unrequited love can become very unhealthy. She gets mad on her Master’s behalf. She throws herself head first into danger on her Master’s behalf. She will do anything for her Master’s sake, regardless of how much danger she puts herself in. She knows that by doing this, she can gain her Master’s attention in some way.

But if she’s not throwing herself into trying to gain favor, she’s avoiding her Master at all cost. She’s never been in love with someone before. She doesn’t know what to do with herself. She doesn’t want to do anything that may cause her Master trouble, but she also knows herself quite well. Jalter knows that her anger can cause problems. Because of her awareness, she does her best to absolutely avoid her Master when her emotions are running at an all time high. She finds it really hard for her to stay composed and it really causes her to lose her mind. She often locks herself in her room or beats up some simulation dummies to clear her mind of the fact that she still hasn't fully come to terms with the fact that she wasn’t the one that’s standing by her Master’s side.

Mash

Mash is the type to support her Master completely. Even if she is not the one that can stand by her Master’s side as their romantic partner, she will always be there as a friend. She’s there to support and to provide reassurance to both her Master and her Master’s partner as a friend.

There are times that she does feel really sad that despite all the hardships and difficulties she’s spent with her Master, they don’t feel the same. Yet it doesn’t stop her from being there for them whenever they need her. Yet she will do her best to not get in their way either. There are times that she does struggle with intervening - especially when it comes to knowing her Master’s tastes and preferences far better than anyone else.

She does try to distract herself by helping out in other duties. But it’s really hard to get alone time away from her Master considering her position and her role in Chaldea. She wants to make sure she doesn't end up being a third wheel too much, but she also knows that she has to find the right balance between her and her Master’s relationship so that the partner doesn’t end up feeling jealous or have malicious thoughts towards Mash or her Master.

Mash does really well in keeping herself separated from her Master’s love life. And even though Mash truly does love them with all her heart, she also wishes for their happiness most of all. Even if it isn’t her, even if she can’t be the one by their side, she’ll be happy as long as they’re happy.

I’m glad to see you back and I hope you’re keeping safe! May I request hcs for Meltlilith with a master s/o who’s straightforward with her words and doesn’t quite understand Melt’s tsundere tendencies (even if they find it cute)

Sometimes, it drives Melt insane whenever you completely dismiss her harsh remarks or cruel suggestions and actually takes it to heart. A part of her finds it rather amusing, another part of her finds it extremely concerning that you’ll be doing something that could potentially get you and others into trouble.

In the beginning, she thought that her Master was just extremely slow and didn’t understand what was going on, but as time went on, Melt came to realize that maybe - just maybe - you’ve been taking her literally this entire time. This realization hits her pretty hard and suddenly all of your strange actions after her comments were making a lot of sense.

For example, the time she mentioned that maybe it’ll be easier to get dragon claws if they didn’t kill the dragon and just chopped off their feet instead. “Who knows, they’ll probably grow their feet back and we can just keep farming the same one.” That was her off-hand comment, and she remembers how panicked the other Servants accompanying them were when you had asked how hard it would be to capture and keep a dragon alive. Thankfully they talked you out of it, and honestly, that would explain why so many of the Servants were actively trying to keep her away from Master.

Melt finds it amusing, and did want to see how far you would take her words literally, but her amusement cuts into panic and regret after seeing the consequences. She had recommended a strategy. It was a risky one, but she also knew that with the Servants currently accompanying you, you would be fine. Or at least, you were supposed to be if it weren’t for some arrogant comment she made as she got overconfident in the success of her plan. You took her literally again - Melt knew you would have if you heard her, and she didn’t take into account that you were close enough to.

She tries her best to watch her words around you from that point onwards. While she may not show much affection with her words, her actions are proof that she does care about your wellbeing and doesn’t want you in any danger.
