So, I was an abuse survivor at a *very* young age. Like, seven years old young. I'm almost 14 now, and my trauma still really hurts. I keep seeing a ship for a fandom I'm in that is incredibly abusive and a lot of content for said ship is romanticizing/fetishizing abuse. Every time I see it, it gives me flashbacks and I'm on the verge of deleting my tumblr account and doing something stupid and horrible. Can I get some encouragement of some sort?

Hey anon! There’s a couple of things you might want to try. We would suggest blocking tags and stuff for that ship, and maybe looking into an extension that would help block all ship-related content, such as xkit. If it’s really, really bad, and you think it might be better for your mental health, maybe try taking a break from Tumblr, or at least that fandom, until that aspect dies down. Of course, only do this if your mental health would gain from it.

No matter what happens, know we’re here for you and we believe in you. It’s hard to be surrounded by something so triggering, but I promise you, there are ways out and ways to help. If it gets really, really bad, try using a chat line or a hotline, especially one geared towards ptsd or trauma, they’ll be able to give more professional advice. You can do this, anon, we know you can, and we’ll be here with love, support, and cookies if you need it.

I added to the concept by having Max sometimes give Neil Mr. Honeynuts to help him sleep but then Neil gives him back to Max after Max has a nightmare one night
