People can say all kinds of things why they don't like todomomo as ship, but the latest manga chapters prove that even though this ship is still canonicaly platonic, it has a really stable foundation(that's hella thick) for a future romantic development between Shouto and Momo. I just have this feeling this ship would sail itself and we'll see an actual romance between them in the future, but not too soon. They already have a good friendship, so we just have to wait. What do you think?

I definitely agree!! the past few chapters really do showcase todoroki’s feelings of utmost respect for her that did not waver even when she lost. Instead he expressed concern for her self confidence (with a shaky speech bubble by the way, did anyone else notice that?) since while he knows that she’s more than capable, she has trouble seeing it in herself.

Meanwhile on momo’s end, it’s been shown time and time again that she respects and trusts him in a way that we do not see her express for anyone else. Honestly, the level of respect the two have for each other has been a recurring theme ever since their exam and while whether it’s going to grow into something more has yet to be determined, I find it a bit telling that hori decided to include his commentary during her fight.

So to answer your question, I think that there is very much a stable foundation between the two that calls for a great and compelling friendship at the least that no one can argue against, and potential for romance in the future based on the way it’s been steadily growing. We just need to wait and see what else hori has in store uwu

I'm curious, do you know any ships, similar to TodoMomo? I've some people say that TodoMomo is similar to RoyAi(Roy Mustang & Riza Hawkeye from Fullmetal alchemist.BTW RoyAi is like my favorite ship and I love FMA a lot.)The reason for people finding those two ships similar is because of the amount of trust, respect and equality between the characters, also they are badasses! I would love to find other ships like this, cause that's obviously the type of romance I love. Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply, but I have been thinking on this for a while now since I initially really couldn’t think of anything.

However, I’ve been in a bit of a nejiten (Neji Hyuuga and Tenten from Naruto uwu) mood recently and realized that they have a bit of a similar dynamic to todomomo :) there’s the mutual respect and trust that I love in ships and if you haven’t read or seen Naruto I think you’ll really like them! Fair warning though without spoiling too much, their story ends very sadly. But regardless of that nejiten is a very good ship uwu

im sorry i accidentally sent my hc as fanmail, hc, yaomomo invites the class to her house, since todoroki only sleeps on futon and prefers traditional room, yaomomo prepares a whole special space for him. they probably have tea together alone too, when everyone else is asleep and yaomomo checks on her friends-
