im in music and i dont want to ruin my head/falsetto with T, but I want to deepen it for like daily use, is there any way to like significantly lower your voice without T? i know like the women in my singing lessons can extend their range lower but its not Much lower and the tone of their voices is still distinctly feminine which isn't what I want , i pass otherwise its just my voice is so high

So I have some experience with this, since I was in choir for years before starting T, and I personally decided to start T anyways despite the possibility of it changing my pitch (which it did, I used to be an alto, but now I’m a baritone). But I’d recommend vocal training, which I did often. What worked for me was to do my usual voice warmups. for me, it was repeating a tongue twister from high to low pitch, then back to high. Personally the tongue twister choir taught me was “red leather, yellow leather”. But find what works best for you! Then do the same and try to get your pitch to be as deep as you can without it sounding raspy and hold that pitch for about 10 seconds, then take a break and do it again. Over the course of a few weeks try to go deeper and deeper till you’re desired pitch is achieved, and with enough practices, you may be able to talk with that pitch!

I also know from experience of some friends who sing professionally, if you sing or practice your high notes while taking T, should you decide to go on it, it shouldn’t affect it too much! I just didn’t practice honestly.

We loved @cecilosweek‘s 2017 idea and prompt set so much, we’re going to bring it back for 2019! Credit to them for the idea and the prompts - we’re simply taking care of organization! Dates, prompts, and guidelines are all below.

Dates: February 3rd - February 9th

Prompts:

Day 1: Fashion/Science

Day 2: Future/Past

Day 3: Away/Home

Day 4: Interloper/Night Vale

Day 5: Free Day

Day 6: Perfect/Imperfect

Day 7: Marriage/Proposal

Rules and guidelines:

-       You can use one or both of the prompts for each day! The prompts are simply suggestions, and you can use them however you like/not at all, but we’d like to be clear that this piece is for Cecilos week, and not just a regular Cecilos fan work.

-       Any type of fan work is happily accepted! Art, writing, edits, crafts, cosplay, music or other recordings, analysis/meta posts... if you’re inspired to make something for Cecilos week, we’d love to see it!

-      We’ll track the tags #cecilosweek2019 and #cecilos week 2019! We will not be tracking #cecilos, as in only Cecilos, so be sure to add the tag for Cecilos week if you want us to see it!

-      We’re happy to be tagged in posts! Please do tag us in your works! We’ll also take submissions - however, submissions may not be posted the same day as the prompt they were made for!!

-      You can absolutely add other characters to your fan works, but please keep it centered on the theme of Cecilos (and hopefully the prompt of the day)! AUs are absolutely welcome!

-      You can submit works/tag us in works for prompts from the previous days! If you can only afford the time to make one work, choose the prompt that speaks to you.

-       We will be accepting nsfw works! We will tag them as such, however! 

-       If you have anything other than nsfw you would like tagged, such as certain triggers, please let us know ahead of time! We are happy to tag things!! If you ask us mid-week, we will tag it in the future, but we will not be going through the blog to retroactively tag works!

-      We will not reblog discriminatory things.
