I’m mostly just lurking and enjoying the ride, but I just need to say I love Alexandria being a cane user <3 as someone who uses a cane myself, I get so excited to see rep in the media I consume. I love them dearly 💖
Gah I'm so glad thank you!! Personally I don't use one, but I wanted to sort of give my oc a representation of the constant issues with my own leg joints and thought it would be interesting for her to use a cane! Maybe someday I'll share how she ended up with it ;3

If someone suspects they have persistent mullerian duct syndrome, can they request ultrasounds and CT scans to find this out, or would the doctors be bad-weird about that?
Hello!, Yes, i myself have persistent mullerian duct syndrome and i was able to speak to my General Practitioner about it and he reffered me for an Ultrasound scan and then i was later seen for an MRI scan. now i will say i am lucky that my doctor is a very chill guy who, while he may not know much about intersex stuff he listens to me and lets me take the lead with what care i need in that regard, not all doctors are like that though, id advise maybe making some notes for youself, listing out any relavant symptoms youve had in your life that has lead you to suspecting you have PMDS and just calmy argy your case as to why you want these scans done, some doctors respond better to seeing that patients have thought out reasonings for a request. annother thing ill say from my own experiance is this, PMDS is like a lot of things something with a lot of variance, not everyone with it has Complete uterine or overian structures inside them, and partially formed ones dont always show up great on scans, the ultrasound i had showed one clear ovary and a bunch of other tissues that the docs couldnt identity exactly (im pretty certain i have two ovaries, one may be smaller, and theres for sure some kinda uterine tissues in there just not in the shape of a fully formed uterus), the MRI i had was not done all that well so didnt really show anything helpful. i also dint recive any formalised diagnosis of "you have PMDS" just the scan and the observations from it.
