At this point this became a series of me drawing everyone Sonas or OCs for no reason at all… but oh well~ is fun!!

I enjoyed drawing @korywithablogwtf ‘s sona since it was the easiest tbh and yet with the best effects I used so far. I just know she would eat my bean size brain for sure~

I know that we didn’t talk much about why the Teen Titans animated series wasn’t included in the month, so I thought I’d make a post about it because of the ask we just received. We had stated numerous times that this wasn’t a month for the animated series and our description says this is a comics based month, which is why I don’t understand where this confusion has come from and I would like to clear it up.

This was an idea I had around the time of the Teen Titans animated series celebration month that happened around last year (I had similar ideas before but this event really motivated me). I thought it would be cool to have a Titans event focused around the comics because I grew out of the cartoon a long time ago and I’ve always liked the comics more. The Teen Titans (v3 specifically) were one of the first teams I had a connection with and it’s only grown as I’ve gotten older. I wanted something to celebrate a great team and, because I am a comics fan first and foremost, I wanted the event to celebrate the long history of the Teen Titans in the comics.

On top of my personal feelings and memories guiding this, the Titans fandom is small. It’s shrunk considerably (there were two different fan magazines in the 80s/90s and there used to be a big community on the internet). The animated fandom is not small. There are multiple social media accounts on every platform dedicated to the show and people create new media for the show and it’s character iterations almost daily. The comics don’t get this kind of love anymore. Despite the comics still having ongoing status and the show being canceled at season five, the show is still vastly more popular because it had a platform that could reach more people and it continues to grow in popularity because of Teen Titans Go! being on CN (yes, I know it’s not good but it also contributes, so please don’t send an angry ask regarding this statement).

Titans Month is for the comics fans that don’t get to see their favorite team and characters loved on as much as they’d like.
